2004 Troy Chevy Trucks 250cc AMA Motocross Championship (Round 7 of 12)

Спорт

This is round 7 of the 2004 Chevy Trucks 250cc AMA Motocross Championship from Kenworthy's Motocross Park in Troy, OH.
Returning contenders like SX champ Chad Reed, Kevin Windham, Sebastien Tortelli, Sean Hamblin, David Vuillemin, WSXGP champ Heath Voss, Michael Byrne, Nick Wey, Ernesto Fonseca, defending 125cc MX champ Grant Langston, Tim Ferry, and 4-time defending 250cc MX champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2004 Chevy Trucks 250cc AMA Motocross Championship. This series is dominated once again by Ricky Carmichael. This is Ricky Carmichael's final season with Team Honda after announcing he would be riding for Team Suzuki for 2005. This is the final race held at the Kenworthy's track after severe floods forced an eventual cancellation of the race in 2003.
Enjoy.

I'm going to see what I have to do to reopen Kenwortheys. I raced the outdoor Nationals and Kenwortheys is my favorite track. Kenwortheys is one of my home track's and I love this place.

No argument there. It just goes to show you don't mess with RC outdoors -- even James Stewart found that out sooner or later.

Glad to hear you liked this race. The final Motocross from this facility and Ricky goes undefeated in the premier class here (2000, 2001, 2002, and 2004).

We were lucky to see these when we did whether in person or on TV; unfortunately, another thing that's long gone is the old McGrath-like mindset when it came to big points leads -- in addition, the professional interviews like we see from guys like Reed, Carmichael, Windham, Tortelli, etc.

Thanks for the upload even though it's from 2013. I'm thinking about trying to make this track for Mx vs Atv Reflex :) I got to ride here once before it was closed a few years later. The T.V. doesn't do the widow maker justice hahahaha

You're very welcome. I was sad myself to see the Kenworthy track be taken off the schedule after 2004. This was my favorite track on the national circuit. I'd have loved to ride on this track when I was willing to travel back then. Hopefully you'll see some of the other races from this season and seasons past on my channel. Hope you can make this track on Reflex. Didn't even know you could create your own track on Reflex.

That's so no what happened Reed and RC road a weeles all the way through the rut. Fonsaka or Fonsacka his nose came down and hit one of the bumps and made him squarely.

I believe it was the jump after the dragon's back (when it was going in the opposite direction up until 2004). In other words, the S-turn when the direction was right, 180 left, 90 right.

@@logandoubleyou2549 2006 and 2009 were exciting to me, but also total heartbreaking years since I'm a Chad Reed fan. 2008 was very exciting to me since Reed won the title that year. 2010, I had virtually nothing to cheer for with Reed's performances waning, only to find out it was the dreaded Eppstein-Barr virus. 2011 was a total breath of fresh air; 2012 was just too depressing after Dallas. 2013 was just too quiet, and 2014 broke my heart again after San Diego. I was very upset myself that Stewart got that WADA suspension by the AMA because that flat-out ruined him. It was a VERY unfortunate incident, and certainly something no rider deserves. I never liked Stewart, but I certainly would never wish something like that on someone. The worst part was that I was beginning to gain respect on James until he did his BS "hide-and-seek game" after his lost 2016 SX season.
