Such a waste him not competing for a 4th year and beyond.

This year had to be one of the lightest on record in the finals. Good on Virtanen for winning, but he has to be one of the least strong winners of the World's Strongest Man. He was very fast at running, and athletic, and explosive. But when it comes to lifting the heaviest weights, by no means could Janne even be in the Top 5 of the competitors when it came to Squat, Deadlife, Chest, or Overhead Press. You look at Badenhorst, by contrast who couldn't' run with the weights well - but he had to be Top 3 of all the strongmen in deadlift, squat, and press - if not #1 in Squat and Deadlift. By comparison, the modern competitions has done a nice job of combining the athleticism with the heaviest lifters.
