One thing that Wyze did not give us on this watch is the "I backed" sticker.

Just got mine today, it is not bad for 20 bucks. But i hope they update it and add some more features, maybe let us see a live view of the cameras etc.

That's one feature that is a must have, especially it being a wyze product, we should be able to see our cameras!.

Since I ordered both sizes and 2 straps it took until yesterday for mine to arrive - I ordered during the backing period. I'm happy overall with it for the price paid and for what it is. I fully charged when it arrived (47mm) and it's been about 36 hours and the battery is still at 88% so not too bad. I'll likely order a few more just to replace the original ones if/when they die or get destroyed.

Your trouble with the responsiveness was due to the fact you have to go back to the middle. So if you swipe left to get to the screen you must swipe right to go back to home screen. Nothing wrong with responsiveness. It's a basic watch that does all the basic things that I was using my prior watch for and at $20 with that quality you can't match or beat it. Wyze also continues to push updates and add capabilities to existing products all the time so I am sure other abilities will come in due time. So happy with this watch so far. I have medium bright and constant heart rate monitoring and wore it to sleep. After 44 hours it's used 12% battery. Pretty awesome. Hope it stays like that.

Yep. I just got the Wyze 47mm watch as a gift from a friend. I checked a review on CNN and they recommend the Amazfit Bip S Lite Smart Watch over this. My top 3 features for the Bip are the 30 days battery life, always-on display and controlling your music which Wyze all lacks. I didn't believe the review until I try the Wyze 47mm myself. The Wyze sucks so bad. There is no always-on display. Rising your hand gesture supposed to turn on your watch, but it doesn't work. You have to click the button to turn on the watch everytime and it only have 7 day battery life. You can get free heart rate monitor on the Google store and use a stop watch app for your sleep tracking. I guess I should be happy to have a working watch 😅

Been watching all the early reviews as I wait for mine to ship. Nice to see a review at last of someone who knows what they are doing!!!

For $20-25, that thing is a STEAL. Gave one to each of my two kids (both under 12) and they feel like they are baller!

I liked the unboxing and set up but I feel like this guy is being extremely critical. It’s $25…..not $325..not $225…not even $125; its $25! For this sort of thing to be nearly impossible 8 years ago, the fact that it’s $25 today is pretty incredible. I plan on doing the same for my son. He’s 10 and there’s not a snowballs chance in hell I can trust him with an Apple Watch right now…this will do just fine..more than fine in fact.

@@fidgetcentral6136 You need a device with the Wyze app for initial setup. I used my phone for that. Then, I disabled notifications from my phone to the watches so my kids don’t get my text messages. They are able to track time, steps, calories, heart rate, and set timers/alarms all from the watch. They don’t have cell phones themselves. So, yes, you need a device for setup but they don’t need phones to use the watches. Hope that helps!

How's the vibration on the watch for the alerts is it strong enough where you will feel it.?

Mine will be here Monday. I'm using a Amazfit bip now but want a bigger screen and can't wait.

Great review. Quick question, have you tried the alarm and timers? I wanna know if it vibrates well enough to not use my loud cellphone alarm to wake the baby. Thanks for the response

1:59 Tip: If watch does not pair to phone right away, and gets stuck on trying to scan watch, try cleaning phone camera lens. Note: Watch needs to be paired with phone app. Watch can not be used by itself.

is there a way to calibrate the sleep monitor ...it thinks im sleeping when im not just theO2 sensor is worth the price of the watch...im sure theyll have a lot updates as they tweak it And the battery life is amazing...my first day and it used up 12%...my apple watch5 has to be charged every single day

Best to notify Dev about this issue on app review so they can update it and for others to know about issue, or add it on communty forum. You will have to wait for an app update to see this functionality. But if they don't know about it, probably won't fix it

For a first generation smart watch, this isn't too bad. Wyze is great.

I use my wyze band more often as it does pretty much the same thing other than oxygen level and isn't as bulky.

$20 for a watch band is a good deal... This is an impressive product. Heart rate monitoring and blood oxygen is an excellent feature. I believe that a lot of heart attack deaths could be prevented with this technology. Blood O2 is an indicator of lung function, might help detect Covid-19 long before ending up in the ICU. I paid $350 for a blood o2 device in 2020. Thanks for the video. : )

@@kevfern the watch is worn 7 x 24. The $20 O2 sensors go on your finger for a spot reading. Sleep apnea can be detected by the watch.

Is it waterproof?

I just order this for $20 bucks seems high quality and good. Looks like wyze is trying to branch out.

The app must be running in the background on the phone. But app does not need to be on screen and running, for the watch to ping the phone.

No you can't, it just gives you notifications like "motion detection driveway", etc.

I ordered one, says the label was created in March 17, but has not shipped yet. SMH

How to answer a call in watch

I bought one and I have a problem that it does not charge me

I dont care for any of those flashy features tbh. I only want a smartwatch to keep track of the Bluetooth connection between phone and watch so that it can alert me if i ever forget my phone. Can you tell me if this is possible to achieve with these cheap watches?

It's only $27 so it's not like you're going to regret it. 9 day battery life possible only because it does not monitor spo2 on it's own or track your blood pressure, although it does seem to be capable of doing so. It can't track sleep apnea like it claims, since these features are not enabled. You can buy two cheap smartwatches from AliExpress that do all this for this price.

i just got the 42mm. and boy, it has a smaller screen, and fat bezels on top and bottom.

Wyze made everyone wait this long, so they could get as many preorders as possible. Now that the reviews are out, not sure if they will be able to sell as many as before.

I ordered the 47. Wyze’s shipping for this watch has been horrible. People that ordered the watch weeks after me have already received there’s. When I try to contact wyze all I get is some copy and paste answer. I am totally loosing faith in Wyze.

I'm surprised people keep saying "its only 20 bucks", while everyone actually paid around $27 bucks with shipping and taxes. The lack of features is not the problem, its the reliability. If there are only three things that this watch promises to do but still cannot do then there is no point. Also most of us buyers are going to simply throw this in the drawer and take something more reliable when we really need to. After watching your video and reading some of the comments here, I'm canceling my pre-order. Thank You !!

@@GregglesTV Cool, I don't see why you'd really want to shut a camera on or off. But I've the white bulbs and coloured one's on order like yourself, I do however see a use case when being able to flick them on or off rather than shouting across a room at an assistant.

I've had mine for a few weeks now and really it's more of a middle of the road fitness tracker than a "smart" watch. A $20 step counter more than anything else. Battery life is outstanding - I've gone more than two weeks between charges always have plenty in reserve. That battery life is probably due to the lack of any real apps that consume power and the fact that connectivity sucks - it disconnects from my phone multiple times a day so I manually connect every morning just so the weather updates. Watch faces are lame and I haven't seen any new ones available. The step counter matches my Treadly 2 so it's fairly accurate. The heart rate monitor is sketchy - I can run it back to back and get readings 30bpm different while I'm sitting chilling out. Because of the erratic connectivity, messages and phone alerts usually come in all in a bunch so no great shakes there. The turn on when raising my wrist requires exaggerated movements to work - easier to press the button. Finally, the stretch notification doesn't seem to be movement aware - I'll be up and walking around and then 5 minutes later get the reminder to stretch. Overall, it's a decent value for a step counter with long battery life.

To monitor your sleep, you will have to buy an addon - the addon is just another watch that costs $75

@@chandankalra Wyze recently replied with the issue. The Wyze watch will only record sleep data at night. Since I work overnight at my job, I sleep during the day. Seems ridiculous that Wyze assumes everyone sleeps during the night.

Decent review but I wish you have kept in mind that at the time you reviewed it it was a $20 watch from a respectable manuf. If you had kept that fact in mind, then the short comings would have been less or disappeared entirely. Samsung? $200 and +. Apple? $300 and +. Others $100 - $400. Wyze? $20. You arent gonna get all that the others have but you get more than expected for $20. Adjusting length of screen time is an easy fix.

For $20, this thing is a steal. Yes, it's not an apple watch and you can't make phone calls, etc., but do you really need your watch to do that when you have a phone? This is a watch that has an incredible array of options for less than what most people pay for a pizza!

Wyze is missing out on a viral demographic by not catering to the senior crowd. Let’s be honest, it’s “utterly fantastic” they can give you a smart watch with many options for what should be high standard features under $30, but come on, the watch faces they provide are AWFUL. Coming from their previous version watch, I was confident they would provide a well thought out layout for a few of their default layouts.

What you expect for $20 a watch and it's not going to wipe your ass for you or anything but it does the job

The old one is better and let's you use Alexa

cheap apple look a like? i brought my mom this watch she a senior .. the wrist band is really soft material .. i teach her how to use it.. good thing is super light weight.. told her when cooking take it off.. in the shower as well.. to bad u can't make calls like the apple watch? it would be great if they made it ? the watch is to small for me ... i like my watch 46mm or bigger..

Dude, instead of critiquing the watch negatively maybe you should learn how to use it first, and stop acting like it should work and function like a $500 watch! SMDH

Watch faces look very ugly.

I give this watch a huge DO NOT BUY! I feel the same about their garbage cameras! Pairing this watch is a hassle to say the least; and, trying to get the firmware to upgrade feels like an impossible mission! Just do yourself a favor and skip this one!

Garbage cameras?... I've had wyze cams all over my house now, some are 3 years old and still work like the day I got them. But I've been upgrading them to the wyze v3 cams, much better than before and the night vision is EXTREMELY clear. For the price of their products they are unmatched, the quality, consistency of updates, etc.. idk what experience you went through that you think they suck, maybe it was just your wifi signal that sucked?.

Received my watch on Friday and it is a huge disappointment. I understand the watch is only $20 but 16mb of memory is sad. I would have spent the extra dollar for 1gb. There are chinese knock offs that blow this thing out the water.

Does not need a whole lot of memory because it is synced to your phone. Data is stored on your phone that is why app is running constantly in the background. What do you need 1GB memory for? Other smart watches need more memory to install 3rd party apps, or save multiple text messages/calls to scroll through. No need if watch just notify you of calls/text messages

For $20 it is ok but the watch is not good. Freaking display goes off after 4 seconds and you can't change!!! Even the steps does not show you the steps changing in real time, it seems you have to wait a couple minutes to see the steps updated. Wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was this bad
