Great video! I love Vuori fleet pants. They have 20 percenet elastane so very stretchy but hold shape very well. It's a light pant and moisture wicking great for working out, lounging or running around.

The Kuhl brand has some outstanding pants with lots of stretch. For Active & Lounge pants I wear their FreeFlex plants. I wear these all the time when flying. Both front pockets have zippers so nothing falls out and it also has a side pocket for a cell phone that’s in the perfect spot where your hand naturally falls, so it’s easy to grab. These pants have a drawstring and I too have come accustom to not wearing belts now. When I want to wear a polo or button down shirt I usually wear their Avengr pant. Both of these pants are great for me since I’m a bigger guy. But they have a lot more pants that would look (and feel) great on a more “fit” person. (And no I don’t work for them. 😎)

Would have loved to hear your thoughts on the Seagale pants--they're a competitor to Western Rise, Outlier, etc. I love the shorts I have from them. Also, I know your style is more casual, but hearing reviews on dressier styles is helpful for folks who want to one bag with work or fant-zee dinners involved.

Chase…a year back, I watched your video. I’m a retired Navy Officer and a retired federal LEO…always active, now approaching my late 60s, I still am very active: bicycle, hike, backpack, kayak, some running, etc etc. while I have to watch it, I still weigh what I weighed in my 20s….and cannot stand baggy, cloth everywhere clothing…and really trying a minimalist lifestyle (after combined 5 decades of uniforms for all season, I think you get it!). I don’t exactly like “skin tight”, but I can wear slim cut….and to be honest, I hate doing laundry….so I wear synthetics. I have the Western Rise Evolutions…I have a pair of Public Rec….but what I really like are the Thousand Miles….and the slim cut Prana pants….for the cost, the cut, and ease of care. Lee, Levi, Patagonia, older baggy Prana, multiple others? Going to my sister for her Poshmark (whatever the hell that is). Nice job….comparing. You seem to be a straight forward, tell it like it is…..and with a sense of humor! Bravo Zulu, brother, well done! Be well, stay safe, but continue having fun!

You should check out the All Day Every Day pant from Public Rec. Pretty much the only pant I wore this past fall/winter. They kinda look like Chinos. But are super stretchy, have an elastic waistband and a couple front zippered pockets. The grey pair I bought do have a slight sheen to them though.

I've had a pair of Lululemon ABC pants for a few years now and I absolutely love em. They're just the right amount of stretchy and soft and techy while still feeling like pants. Hiking, running, lounging, yoga-ing, traveling, they do it all. I also really like Vuori's Ponto Sweatpants. Suuuuper soft and stretchy and lovely, but definitely more for lounging/sleeping than everyday wear.

Loved the video, favourited a bunch for Christmas lists. If you haven’t yet, try some Fjällraven pants. They have so many different cuts and styles, are made for surviving hiking in the Nordic countries and are an absolute must for basically every ‘scout’ (we have Boy Scouts but also into adolescence in Scandinavia). I have one pair and I live in them in the winter and miss them in the summertime

Good takes, per usual. Also recommend Edgevale Cast Iron…they’re not stretchy, but they just…work? OHH - and I’d also love your review of Bonobos chinos. Their signature curved waistband blew my mind in how a small tweak makes pants fit so much better. Maybe it’s just my butt, idk.

You asked for pants selections we actually own/wear and love: Mountain Khakis pants out of Jackson Hole call themselves action adventure pants, made of 100% organic cotton, and well constructed. Now admittedly, they don’t cost $100+ nor are they all made out of reclaimed micro plastics from the ocean, but they’re tough & comfortable!

lee jeans extreme motion and old navy active flex are my go too jeans for the best stretch-while-still-able-to-be-considered-a jean...jean. lee has the crotch gusset which i didnt know i needed till i found it. and the old navy are my favorite for pure flexibility. the wrangler flex waist outdoor cargo pant has been a favorite of mine for comfort, shockingly high durability and price at about 30-40 bucks. Modest stretch, more of a hot summer pant or a slight chilly rainy day. great on a windy day. but as a commercial electrician im always looking for something breathable and durable. so far this pant is it. eddie bauer makes a similar one and its actually more comfortable and stretchy but much less durable and with it being 70 bucks i cant keep it in the work pile. the eddie bauer would make a great travel pant though. i also work in both the lee and old navy and both are great for durability comfort and price too.

Their men’s suits are amazing as well - washable, packable, and wrinkle resistant. Also love how many sizes they offer - you can customize the waist and length to get your exact size without the need to get things tailored.

Great for colder days (sub 70°F) also $84.99 USD Vertx Grip pants Very stretchy, also lots of pockets, thinner but softer fabric, not as durable. $69.99 USD Note: I’ve owned all of them
