Doctor Saunders, thank you for that advice at the end of this video. About having good days and bad days. It’s so easy to get frustrated or scared about what if’s when you have had a really bad day. That gave me hope that this will pass with time and it’s not just going to go away overnight. It’s hard to accept that all of a sudden I can’t go for my long therapeutic walks like I used to before this vertigo set in on me. And with your channels help I can get through this issue. Thanks again for posting the videos.

I found your channel in November and started doing these exercises ten at a time for 10-14 days and then rotate in one or two new ones. Wet years here in the desert combined with wind create heavy pollen seasons. I was also having increased pain in my hip and my vision had changed so I had the "trinity" of issues that lead to severe stability and balance issues. I'd known about the Epley maneuver but these exercises are life-changing! They are presented in a such a simple to follow format and have given me my active life back.

I had the same experience, a vertigo episode closely followed by vestibular issues. You are the first blogger to acknowledge the reality of what happened to me. The professional medical community lacks when diagnosing causes of vestibular issues. I saw two PT's simultaneously. Both leading to similar sets of exercises. Strangely, your excercises should be pattened as standardized protocols. The two PT's I saw adapted techniques to their personalities, one with a spiritual counseling approach (acceptance and self love) the other with a yellow sticky pad (targets) approach. Your video makes infinite sense. I would report a 15% reduction in dizziness from the sticky pad eye movement approach, 10% reduction in dizziness from the counseling approach. But I'll bet making your exercises routine could finish the job. Also, found it's easy to go backwards, when not continuing the exercises (flu episode). Best of luck to your continued success and Kudos to this Doc!
Hello Dr. Jon.I watched you video today and started the exercises . Hope I will be relieved soon from cervical vertigo.

Thank you for this video. I have been having issues for 3 months. I believe I had IEDCS after SCUBA diving last October. About 45 minutes after my dive I had a severe case of vertigo that lasted for more than a week. Once I was able to function again I was still lightheaded and would get dizzy very easily. Recovery has been very slow and I was beginning to believe it would never improve any further. That was until I started doing these excelsis daily. It's been 10 days and the tinnitus is almost gone and the dizziness and head fog has definitely decreased. My balance is improving daily. Again thank you for this.

Your exercises and exceptional presentation should be patented as the gold standard. After contracting vestibular issues after a vertigo episode, I was seeing two PT's with vastly different personally stylized approaches leading to similar but scaled sets of exercises. One promoted "Tapping" techniques and Vagas nerve breating exercises, which were very helpful with the anxiety-unsettled piece. She presented lots of tricks, like wearing a baseball cap at Wallmart to prevent from becoming overwhelmed by an expansively illuminated space. We determined that my ankle tendenitis and eustacian tube issues were also contributing. Meaning, a number of tiny causes were contributing to my uneasy experiende. The other PT impatiently went immeadiately to yellow sticky pad eye movement targets, complaining he didn't spend much time on emotional considerations. They were both slowly leading up to similar walking exercises, but my progress was delayed with foot and knee injuries and the flu. Too much beating around the bush from other KZread presenters. Love your direct approach and exemplary presentation!!! I'll report back in several weeks after grooving your Tool arsenal. I know from the little success I've had up until now - they will work!

A CT and MRI scan of my brain was normal and blood chemistry was normal. I've experienced Vertigo in the past. I also take the Beta Blocker Metoprolol after having a heart attack 4 years ago. I've been experiencing walking off balance and dizziness for some time. The ENT Specialist at Kaiser Permanente recommended Vestibular Physical Therapy. It's Saturday night and I am going to try the beginner Vestibular exercises in a chair. I printed the 20 exercises and I will try to do them everyday.

I am a vet and have dizziness, especially when I lay flat on my back or rotate my neck. It's flat on my back or froward like in Yoga's child's pose that really sets me spinning sometimes. I thought I had positional vertigo, so I went to VA and had inner ear tests done and they said nothing was wrong with my inner ear, and they recommended physical therapy. I am hoping this helps. I just completed the neck exercises which than said to do this on top of that. I must say, after one session of the neck exercises the painful tightness on the right side of my neck has subsided as well as the head fog. Hoping this video helps as well.

Hi Dr. Jon. I think I did have a mild concussion but the symptoms have lasted quite long now 7 weeks because all the doctors I used to go to only thought something was wrong with my blood. It was difficult to point out my violent head shaking on the day of April 9 2022 could have had something to do with my symptoms. It's not until yesterday that I remembered this was the only activity that led to the onset of my symptoms because I now remember I developed them about an hour or less after the shaking in the bathroom. Symptoms have been going away slowly but I have had to look for help online because I feel doctors do not seem to find anything wrong with me. I live in Kenya Nairobi and finding specialist like you is really hard. I would like to try your exercises and see how I'll feel in a week or so. I have since stopped panicking and also stopped being worry some. My main symptoms are dizziness/vertigo that comes up with especially doing close up activities such as washing utensils in the sink, eating at a table or movie my head sideways while sitting or standing. Sometimes the ears get quite full when symptoms come all at once and I have to lie down or sit for them to resolve. Do you think my problem is unique and doesn't need the help of these exercises? 15 minutes per day.
Hi Dr. Jon, Thanks so much for the helpful video. I have been struggling with PPPD for 8 months now. Although it is much better than when it started (through the help of physical therapy), I continue to get flare ups of non-vertigo dizziness specifically triggered by looking at fast and awkward moving images on my iphone and desktop computer. This has become increasingly frustrating as I need to use the computer most of the day for my job and I feel like it is preventing me from overcoming PPPD.Are there any exercises in your video that you would especially recommend for overcoming dizziness related to screen time?

I know it can be frustrating...focus on the ones that are most difficult for you to do and maybe try doing some of these as well: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qZ-rqNCFnMvJgKg.html
Radiation and head/neck cancer surgery has left me with vertigo and dizziness. My vision is blurry and lost 50 pounds 178...128. Should not have done radiation, biggest mistake of my "golden years." Thx for your help.

Sorry to hear about that...stay positive and best wishes for your future.
Thank you for this helpful video doc :) I wanted to ask if these exercises can be done when you have cervical vertigo? I'm currently experiencing vertigo due to neck and shoulder strain.

Yes often doing these with other exercises you have been prescribed by your doctor will be helpful.

@@drjonsaunders thank you for these wonderful exercises doc. They worked!!! 🙏☺️
Hi Dr Saunders. I have been doing your excercises. My EMT said it’s positional vertigo. I had that maneuver done twice. I also got covid at the same which is now gone. I now still feel dizzy. I’m paranoid of getting the maneuver done again as I was violently ill throughout the evening. Will this go away on its own? I do have an mri that’s being scheduled. The ent doctor said I would have other symptoms if it was something bad. Just wondering if it can go away just with these excercises. Thank you so much

Knowing the cause is essential to treating it properly, so without seeing you it is difficult for me to say. Sorry. I hope you feel better soon.

Stop the covid lunacy.
Thank you Dr for this useful video. Do you think that the balance issue is related to MS? And if so do you think it is incurable?

Yes MS certainly causes balance issues, these exercises should help at least some. Best wishes.
