When I was 23 I got psoriasis. It got worse and worse.. And at one point I was completely covered. They couldn't help me at the hospital. On the advice of someone I stopped eating everything that contains wheat. After about a month that terrible itch subsided and only after two months did I really see an improvement. After a year I was completely clean! Although I remained strict, a few spots came back later. I can live with that..

First get your sugar under control. It means if you are diabetic or have metabolic syndrome start getting them to their regular numbers by fixing your food consumption. Then look at what you are eating everyday that for some reason your body it's not able to process, I call those aggressor foods. For me is flour and anything with corn. When you eat a food that your body is allergic and/or can't process, you can immediately feel the itching on your body. Also cut out the Dairy. This Dr. Is correct.

hi, just a comment, I totally agree with most everything said in this video! i suffer from excema and whenever I eat healthier I notice it go away. just a comment though, it is almost impossible to cut out all processed foods. Vegetables and whole grain breads are also processed! hell, even apples come with wax on them. that is just the society we are living in today. processed foods are a natural, healthy part of life, as long as everything is in moderation. have a nice day!

Also, please check for food allergies! For 30 years I didn't know that I had multiple allergies. I had a lot of problems my whole life and one is psoriasis. After moving and consulting a new derm he tested me for allergies to look for potential triggers because it spread everywhere (Ears, Face, Head, Body, Nails, Hands, Feet). For me, it's milk-protein (not lactose), pork, gluten, nightshades, citrus fruits, and some spices like chilly... The best way is to suffer once while going through an elimination diet, that's how I found what caused a lot of problems. Took me 2 years but I cloud cleared out 70% of my PSO. Also, a lot of people with PSO have problems with nightshades like tomatoes, paprika, and potatoes. Still have it though but I feel better and that's what matters.

@@Ashortutorial. There is some lymphoid tissue in the intestines but the immune system does NOT mostly reside in the gut. Most immune cells originate in the bone marrow or thymus and are distributed throughout the lymphatic system, and are concentrated in nodes throughout the body. They are also found in the spleen, tonsils and mucous membranes. Furthermore, the skin itself has a robust immune network that is more closely linked with dermatologic autoimmune reactions. While it is true that certain foods can trigger immune responses in people with psoriasis, there are SO many other triggers, to make a sensationalist statement that changing your diet alone will "cure" psoriasis is irresponsible and misleading. You can do some reading of your own or speak to an immunologist in your area.
@choochd
Жыл бұрын
@@Synergywellnessny False. Learning what foods trigger your psoriasis can help, but diet alone is often not enough to control an autoimmune disease such as psoriasis. In fact, I developed my psoriasis while eating a nutrient-dense, whole foods, plant-based diet. It is mostly psychological stress that triggers my flare-ups or missing a day or two of showering. For myself, I have found that coffee is a trigger, but quitting coffee has not cured me of the condition. Managing this condition requires a combination of lifestyle factors and medications that are constantly in flux. Unfortunately, there are no "Cures" for autoimmune diseases only treatments and management. So please stop spreading misinformation by telling people, ubiquitously, that they suffer from a "leaky gut" which is a hypothetical and medically unproven condition to begin with.
I just want to say thank you, your video is inspiring me to make a change in my life.

@@Synergywellnessny You're funny guy. Whole foods don't repair the gut lining, they continue to leak through the gut causing immune response.
Thank you so much , finally a guy who knows the exact problem.
Fixed gut, psoriasis still. Diet helps intensity but fixing gut does not always make psoriasis go away. It’s autoimmune.
I think the problem with psoriasis is one day a food seems to make it worse and right when you think you got it made another flare up. Most people say Carnivore cleared them up but I feel like it makes my flare up almost unbearable. Im not sure why and I have ate fruits and vegetables with lean meats and it does help but all that fruit sugar seems to make my appetite crazy. Then I go back to keto/carnivore and the yo yo repeats itself. Sometimes I felt like the itching is gonna make me jump off a building.

eggs and baked sweet potatoes in the morning (you can meal prep the sweet potatoes), with power greens / spinach nuts and berries for snacks lunch and dinner - swap as needed (i do my big meal as lunch) big salad - apples, greens, cucumbers, nuts, real or vegan feta, tuna or sardine salad or chicken breast, tomatoes, peppers, beans, whatever it is. if you want to optimize for minimal work, stick with things pre cut and pre washed like shredded carrots or slaw mix the other is chicken breast, thigh, even red meat sometimes, or fish, on rice or sorghum or quinoa and baked or stir fried veggies - you can even get the steam fresh bags of each (multigrain rice, veggie mix) and just microwave and throw a sauce or dressing on there (try not to go too high sugar) no specifics and you'll have to get used to it getting a bit repetitive (and you're gonna need to be eating a _lot_ of food in order to catch up with the processed calories - these things burn way cleaner) but i wish you luck! my energy levels when i first changed to this diet were incomparable

Hi, I've suffered severe eczema all my life and have gone on a healing journey for 7 months now, here's what I have discovered that might help you: - Ketogenic or carnivore diet really helped me reduce inflammation and dramatically reduce the need for steroid creams. If your diet is not easy on your gut, you will never heal, so this is the primary thing. The main thing about this that helps is avoiding the artificial sugars, seed oils, processed foods and high amounts of carbohydrates. - Fasting, if you can do it, is even more effective than diet. The keto/carnivore diets are called 'fasting mimicking diets', so it makes sense that the real thing works even better. The big drawback is that you can't fast forever (obviously). - Breathwork is extremely effective at combating a flare-up immediately and a few hours after (look up Wim Hof and the podcast on breathwork by Huberman) - Avoid all chemicals as much as possible. That includes deodorant, perfume, soap, shower gel, processed foods, etc. - Bathing with Epsom salt helps many people, although the effect on me is not that dramatic. As with all of these measures, everyone reacts differently. - Most importantly, realize that steroid creams greatly increase eczema in the long term. Quitting these is extremely dangerous, because it can cause severe eczema for months or more, so be cautious in doing this. I am now 3 months free, but went through 1 horribly bad month. It's now much better than before quitting. - Lastly, listen to your body. See how you react to different measures. Try new measures constantly, listen to podcasts and people's experiences to learn about new measures, and never give up. Be well my friend.

Some people just don’t respond well to Veges. It may be that you were allergic to something you were eating in the past.

@@Synergywellnessny Yes, something like that! My doctors actually ran a bunch of tests but they could not detect any allergies. I do however get rather violent reactions from most plants. My working theory is that I just am quite sensitive to the naturally occuring toxins in plants. Mushrooms works just fine though. I have come across a few more people like me over the past few years. But it is still just anecdotal evidens I suppose. It would be interesting to figure out exactly what is going on. I get very itchy rashes on my body when consuming vegetables. Different types flare up at different spots on my body. Tomatoes are the worst by far though, my skin peels off inside the mouth right away when eating them. 😅 Anyway, thanks for the reply and hopefully my babbling could help someone out there who is in the same boat! Have a nice day!

Gavin have a look. Get skin, pores open, dump the crusty stuff by sauna , get the Sun to repair, or lamp.
Why does my psoriasis nearly dissappear in winter (UK England) and is worse in summer? I can't figure it out, no difference in diet if anything I eat more sugar in winter over Christmas time. But no drastic changes in diet..

I've been eating fruits and vegetables. Big salads every day for over a year. I also eat kimchi on the daily. And it has gotten worse.
If I am not suffering from that then what is the reason? I myself believe that I am suffering from overstress and therefore get these symptoms.

Stress is indeed a major contributing factor to flare-ups, but it's not everything. The main fix is in diet.
Can i eat organic chiken and beef and heal my psoriasis? And beef tallow for oil etc
In my neighborhood they are stealing from grocery stores (sign on window is you can't enter with bags) variety stores (owners posting images of thieves from the instore video camera) and pick pocketing people (tracking elderly leaving the banks). Guess who is doing this. It has never happened like it is happening now.
I’m trying to gain weight, not lose it. I’ve gone months without eating more than I absolutely needed to to try and clear it and flushed my system with water during that time and nothing ever works. I refuse to starve myself to have clear skin.

How does this work with little kids, even babies who have extreme eczema? I’m 37 and have had it since I was 5. But surely 5 and unders or more specifically babies can’t have that bad gut health? Their gut is surely pretty much brand new just like them?
