Ken asked for a like, so I gladly gave him one. Though each of these garages are usually between 24-foot and 28-foot square, this one used lap board stuff. So, it is NOT just like all of the others. Ken's show variety. Ken and his crew, know what to do. Paraphrasing Ghostbusters, "They had the tools and they had the talent." Now, on to part 2 & another like, when it is available.

Its very easy listing to you talk Ken, your soft, laid back style is refreshing, while a lot of others are trying to be "dynamic" and ram their prowess down our throats, thank you. I bet the boys wish they had of loaded the trailer with the front wall on the bottom, so they could start with the back wall and not have to walk around through the mud with everything else. That long board on the gable looks like you work in metric (as I do) but I am guessing you don't, for some reason I am occasionally 100mm out, something that measures 2750 up the ladder magically becomes 2850 at the saw (but i do love metric)

I'm a retired carpenter of 35 plus years. Dad and I had a construction business of which we built custom homes, additions, garages and anything else that needed building or remodeled. Got to say, you guys are pretty efficient. Looks like you've been around the construction block more than once. LOL. One thing I guess we would have done differently is to still add wall sheathing plus our diagonal bracing would have been a cut in 1x4 or a metal brace that takes just one depth set cut with the circular saw. All of which we did while the wall was laying down on the slab. Which also made it easer to square up corner to corner.Of course if your slab isn't perfectly level well then the wall won't be plumb when set up. Then we did plan B. And what you guys did was plumb the corner , not level it. 😏

With the current price of OSB and plywood, shiplap seems more reasonably priced!

hows the shiplap compare in price to vinyl? id much rather use something other than steel or vinyl just to be a little unique but things like T11/T4 whatever they call it is basically extinct and anywhere that can get it it costs twice as much and requires painting on top of that, shiplap or board an batton seems a more DIY route but im not sure the cost savings are there

Great process!!! I love attention to details. Every builder sees them. Why didn’t you stand the walls back to front when that time came? Standing walls in front of you makes you walk way around em for all other walls. Anyway, fantastic work. I’d be proud to work for a guy like you. I do all different types of pre-fab and Siding also
