I was raised watching this stuff. Always loved the commentator and slow motion replays.

Bradley Knight I was looking for this specific episode for 15-20 years. I was 6 and this made me a Packers fan. I came close to getting it a few times but then a year ago someone uploaded a few episodes including this one. Unfortunately, his channel is gone but I was able to rip this and put it back up before. Enjoy.

I remember this one. Mainly because the Lions lost to Green Bay on Thanksgiving. Our son was almost 2 years old (and learning how to read). This show on HBO was one of the best. You got all the highlights from the past week. Even though we had Cable back then you did not get very many games from other regions. AND there could be 'Black Outs' if you did not sellout the stadium for your team. So to watch a Good Highlight Reel was needed.

What a difference in how players act after scoring compared to the ridiculous games of leap frog, hide and go seek and keep away that go on today.

Yep, before ESPN primetime & WAY before the Internet. This wouldn't even debut till Thursday nights at 9 and replayed on Friday nights & Saturday mornings back in the 80s. I had so many years of these on VSH tapes all gone now. From like 1985-92/93.

Hey - so I was legitimately looking for this edition of Inside the NFL for 15 years, and finally it was posted in March. I immediately ripped it to make sure I had my copy in case the channel it was on was removed. Well guess what - it was removed last week. So I put it back up. There are lots of good channels if you look around. Just do "nfl (year) searches" But to start, search for Kevin Reidy - I bet you'll like his stuff. Thanks, Res

Scott Cordell Yea that was Curtis Eaker’s Page you ripped that from. All his content got taken down, sucked. Also I am subscribed to Kevin Reidy. I love these old NFL highlights from this era.

+Rusty Kuntz it sure was. That's a major bummer. I'm almost 37, so I was 6 years old for this week. My family was en route to Thanksgiving in Upstate NY when we slipped off the road, so we turned back. Got home and watched the end of the Packers game. Stanley brought the punt back and I declared right then that I was a Packers fan. 31 years later, it's still a thing. We had HBO so we taped this episode. I watched it over and over. In time, as you can imagine, it got taped over or lost. I looked for it for 15-20 years. I almost found a copy a few years ago, but the guy's got destroyed in a hurricane. Then Curtis appeared and posted a few from '86. I basically told this story, and a few weeks later, one night, there it was. It was unreal.

that raiders eagles game makes sick to this day Marcus Allen fumble kept us out the playoffs for five years not only that we just needed one win to clinch lost the last three games

manutd316 it really started a lot of things into motion, including Flores being fired as well. Losing to the Colts at home in Week 16 I’m sure clinched that. The 86 season was crazy - in this episode you hear Kalas say the Chiefs were going to miss the playoffs, and of course they didn’t. One bummer about this episode not being complete is that Howie Long had a video diary all season long and I remember him being depressed but still hopeful about their chances. The Eagles/Raiders game is on KZread if you search a bit.

manutd316 if the raiders lost their last 3 games, how did a fumble in a tie game cost a playoff spot? if you lose 3 games in a row it's more than one play that cost you.

Manutd316 this loss was disgusting!!!!...the thing about us tho us we always turned the ball over so much Raider teams have been TO prone for whatever retarted reasons, Marcus always had butter fingers, but we always turned it over, we were always good enough to do these things including fightin a League Conspiracy against us pretty much since day one maybe 63 give or take but whatever, we've been robbed of so much post season success obviously including Super Bowl appearances n wins its just flat Injustice, even after this game the next was at the kingdom Monday night an well uttm but then home against the Chiefs an still came up short 20-17 an then at home against the freakin Colts who were 0-13 an won their last 3 including beating us at the Coliseum it was a disgrace, we were 0-3 n got to 8-4 to go 0-4 we were flat out robbed week 1 in Denver once again the Most BS calls made on us and or not gettin ones we were supposta, the one that bothered me the most was a phantom PI called on my boy late Stacey Toran#30 which gave the fuckin Broncos another gift 7 ball put at the one!!! ...final 38-36 Denver an there were more as per usual, per usual was at my friend vinny's Store who had the Classic huge Dish on the Roof in SOUTHBROOKLYN when their was one!!! That thing got a million Chanel's...ps we Sacked Cunningham 11 times in that game!! As you probably remember!! Later!!🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🐘🐼🐬🐻🐳🐅🐕🐖🐄

And after the Colts fired Rod Dowhower, the 0-13 Colts, hired Ron Meyer, and won their final three games of the season, & lost out on the first pick in the 1987 Draft or THE VINNY TESTEVARDE SWEEPSTAKES, & drafted a guy who flat out refused to play with them, Cornelius Bennett, but played with them over a decade later
