What an absolutely great post this is. The 1980's Inside the NFL were one of my all time favorite shows, where there was great production, all games despite the teams records got a good highlight reel, and Nick and Len were great hosts. Those two obviously read off a script, but they brought enough of their own football insights to keep the NFL week in review vibrant. When HBO later added Collinsworth and added useless segments, etc., most highlights were cut shorter and so called "meaningless games" were blended into one crappy highlight reel.

+Beau Bear Totally unwatchable now...a complete embarrassment. Stupid NFL films has 3000 cameras at each game and feels like they need to use each one in a :49 segment. Hate it!

Harry Kalas' voiceovers and NFL Films's highlights are just a magical combination.

This is awesome to watch this all over again. I used to never miss a week, and the chemistry between these three was pretty good. I remember when it was just Len and Nick, and then they started slowly adding Cris in ( I think around 1988 or 89).......then they let Collinsworth join them on set for the entire show. The highlights were entertaining and the pick segment was very good too. Thanks for this upload.

Tom Tupa LATER became the Patriots punter/backup Quarterback in 1997! Had a great game vs. Buffalo that season on the road! He hit a punt, pinning the Bills at the 5 yard line & another at the 2 yard line! The latter turned into a defensive touchdown by linebacker Chris Slade!

Youre thinking of Saints DE Cameron Jordan. This kid @0:27 is Cameron Heyward who plays DT for the Steelers.

Inside the NFL is my all time favorite show when it was on HBO plus they should kept it only just Len & Nick cause it already great with those 2

Best thing about it. Is it me or was the world a less stressful place then? all the race crap, market crashes, politics... we had the issues but it seems like we just didn't care as much. And football United everyone. I miss that.
