@@tomc6095 So there's an open position for hire? I call dibs. I'm all trained up. Got my southern accent together too: somewhere between sassafras and cattywompus. (I might even "upsell" myself and throw on a vest for the interview.)

Hardee’s was such a better restaurant when it was its own chain - had such unique menu items, and a totally different ambience, before the Carl’s Jr. buyout in 1997. I’m glad I was born in 1981 and was able to experience it.

This reply is 3 years into the future, the fast food industry isn't like this anymore. It has changed drastically, so now it's quantity over quality. They want to push their workers to put their whole soul into selling so much. Companies are so greedy now, too.

I get fast food probably every other week at the most, and most of the time, it is Hardee's. I stuck with them after their bankruptcy and Carl's Jr merger, but it's just not the same. Back in the late-80's and early-90's Hardee's was at its absolute peak with promotions (California Raisins, Disney plush, etc), food choices (roast beef, salad, fried chicken, big cookie, etc), and yeah, it does taste good, but it's just not the same like it was when they were Hardee's without the star.

The guy in the white shirt at 2:34 must be management...he is just standing there watching the other guy work. The two things he picked up will probably come back in the other guy's performance review since he didn't pick them up first.

This was back when Hardees was original not that Carls' Jr shit or Star Hardees is a Burger King Knock off. This Original orange sign was there until 1997. Hardees had the best fried Chicken in the business and it always 12 pieces for $6.99 plus tax and if you had you had your own cup for soda they would refill it for you for .59 cents for large and .39 cents for small all through out the 90's and the Fisherman's Fillet Sandwich was the best fish you could buy until it switched to Carl's Jr. That California crap doesn't play in the Midwest.

You know why Hardee's has closed so many locations and have disappeared from half the country? Because they've TURNED AWAY from the commitment to quality explained in this video, and have over-expanded with too many locations, while lowering the quality of the food. And that's the fault of those at the top, not the minimum-wage workers you see at the restaurants. When you insist on paying low wages, you get low-quality employees which lead to low-quality conditions of its restaurants, including trash in the parking lots. As for "suggestive selling", the leaders at the top overdid that by insisting its employees on the drive-thru speaker system offer some big item people do not need. Much like the "Supersize" concept. Sacrifice quality for extra potential profits. If you ever go past a boarded-up Hardee's, looking at this video what they were like in the 80s, you'll know why.

Well stated. It's not the low level staff that fail a business. It's poor management.

Thats strange, I live in the Midwest and we still have alot of Hardee's, I really have never saw one like you described. Breakfast time is ridiculous, I mean 15 cars in the drive-thru and inside the restaurant is full. Dinner does good as well, I've had to wait multiple times trying to pick up something in the evening because so many people trying to get food. We have alot of restaurants in my area so it's not like Hardee's is the only business, I noticed in the smaller towns they've got the Red burrito stuff on the menu and believe it or not they actually sell Hardee's fried chicken still.
