You don't see entertainers like this anymore...Don Rickles, Milton Beryl, Wayne Newton...and, of course, Jerry Lewis.

Today's talent for the most part is horrible, because the young people of this world have no clue of what talent is or was, and the worse part is that they couldn't care less about it either Period!!!!!
Wow! Jerry Lewis was a remarkable human being. He had many sides, but he did so much for people in making us laugh and in his humanitarian efforts. There will never be another like him. A true American original. Rest in Peace Jerry. Love you!

What a great man and a great world back then, the 1980s, the last great decade of all time. Ronald Reagan was President, the people in this country were Soo much better than now, most everything and everyone was really good and nice !!!!!
I grew up watching the MDA telethon, i miss it.

Miss ya Jerry!!!
Wayne Newton will always be Mr Las Vegas.
I remember looking forward to Labor day weekend. up all night Sunday into Monday evening. The talent on the show
oh yeah.... WAYNE!
Please more clips if you have , these are great memories!
Growing up , i would try to stay awake and watch the entire show, but never made it... It was always such a great wonderful tradition
It's not the same on Labor Day, because it was apart of are lives as much as the holiday itself, but this truly helps keep tradition alive. been watching often on since last night thanks again jerry

Without the variety shows that have long been taken off, hardly anything on television is the same....Jerry was magic...those folks will be no more....Hollywood talent is so low right now.

You'll Never Ever See anything like this anymore again Ever Period!!!!!
SCTV is in the air.
This is the only time I have seen Jerry without a wedding band. He wore the band in every movie he was ever in even though his character was usually single. This was right before he married second wife Sandee.
I remember one movie Jerry Lewis was in where he had to out on the flagpole and paint the ball on the top and he dropped the can of gold paint on his boss's head then his boss threatened to skin him alive I started cracking up I thought it was pretty funny
I would record his telethons on video tape.
first year at Caesars palace and first year of using the love network bump music going in and out of last vegas and local stations during the telethon in 1982

Have on vhs
I never liked these telethons, especially the ones Jerry did. 40’s and 50’s were Jerry’s years. He hung around way to long.
