In later years, Patti sang in the choir of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Los Angeles.

Dean's song to Jerry, "You Skinny Hebrew" was to the tune of Patti's second song here.

I'm just here to say that she had a truly beautiful voice! (I don't feel like judging their marriage anyway, not our business...)

She nearly made it to her 100th birthday.

In Patti's book she states that she gave 36 years of her life to Jerry, but she says that he also gave 36 years of his life to her. The 6 children they had together came from those 36 years. Marriages end. Relationships can be difficult. I believe that they truly loved each other. She survived his leaving. Her book is a good read. But, if your looking for dirt, Patti doesn't go there.

I watched this and enjoyed the beauty of the performance. While I have the ultimate respect for people who go through marriage - stay in love forever - and resist any temptation, I also know that by our very nature we are sinners. Whether it be in thought or action..very few do not give in. But here's a hint..it's usually the ones that critique others the most for philandering that are truly the worst philanderers - Just an example of how hypocritical we all can be. Thank you Jerry & Patty for a beautiful moment in time!

In another interview Jerry said he don't want to dance with no other women but his wife. And he don't like men asking his wife to dance. I think it's good and respectful. I agree with him.

This tape is so cute. I hope Jerry's sons forgive their father for leaving all of them out of the will. And not supporting his out-of-wedlock daughter Suzanne. Lewis made a grave mistake. Leaving all his money to his second wife, Sandi, and his adopted daughter, Danielle. RIP Jerry, Patti, and the little king, Joey.

Mrs. Inc She was (or is) 6 years his senior. At the moment she’s still living in a nursing facility in Nevada at 99 years old.

+Kathleen Fillo thats too bad.My Uncle has dimentia and he takes a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil 3 times a day(ur tummy has to get used to it,so maybe buld up to 3 tbs a day.But a few months later he went back to the dr. and he could understand better,talk better,remember better and draw a clock on a piece of paper w/ the numbers and hands in the right place. I wish more people knew about this.There would be alot less suffering

I don’t judge their marriage. It’s clear that there once was love there, but they married very young, Jerry was 18 when he married Patti, and she was 22. Marriage fall apart, and those old Hollywood marriages especially.

She died over a year ago at 99. She left him because he openly scorned their marriage. He admitted he was a “womanizer”, his word. However he was more than a cheater. He had a daughter with a woman he was with for 3 years during the earlier part of their marriage in addition to Patti (real name Ester). His entire life was a show for him. Now 7 women have come out to say that he violated women (actresses) in Hollywood as well. His one biological daughter is homeless, she was penniless before her father died. She said she would see him as a kid and he was somewhat of a father to her. DNA from Jerry’s oldest son proved him to be her father but Jerry didn’t do anything about her state of affairs, she’s still out on the street. He also had a son who killed himself with drugs. It’s been said his son was like him and he loved his dad but Jerry disowned him before his son’s death. I think he disowned the entire family when Patti had the “audacity” to divorce him due to his infidelity. Too bad Jerry, you had it all and no amount of money or fame made up for what you would have been able to enjoy had you been faithful to Patti and truly loved children - your own! Hope you’re learning what’s important in the afterlife.

Never understood all the love songs for daddy back then. 🤔 Did men sing songs about their moms?

Did she call him a scum in this song? Did he act that way towards her and the kids years later?

Jerry married Patti when he was 18. If they had stayed together they would have been married 73 years in October 2017. He passed in August 2017. Heavens to Betsy. As it turned out he had two very long marriages. Jerry was an amazing man. He made his mark. He will be missed.

Billy Manners it was their shtick. Jerry wrote a lot of their material. He even said in his book that he was the monkey of the act and it was the only way they could work as a team. Dean had a lot of respect for Jerry while they were paired together.

According to one of Jerry's sons his dad would always park right at the front door, they had an intercom in the house which their mom would get on and say your dad's home. They would scatter all to their rooms to avoid him. He didn't leave anything in his will to them.

Rob Elger Yep, he did. I researched it on the web. Plus Pattie Lewis wrote a book, which is listed on Amazon, about his contact cheating. He also has an illegitimate daughter which he refuses to acknowledge to the public. There's more that's worse but I don't want to write it. All in all, he's not a nice man.

Even though he did cheat on her "constantly" there were many other aspects of his personality and there's also no doubt he loved her for many years. I don't think it's necessary to write about "his warts" on this video. There are many things we don't know about their relationship but it lasted many years and THERE WAS love there!!

Laughing at all of those talking about how Jerry cheated on her. He did, of course. That's no secret, folks. But she gave him permission to do so, and they had a very loving relationship, and he appreciated her allowance. Not that he wouldn't have probably done it anyway, but it made it a more honest relationship. Read "Dean and Me"

annathealmighty I have not yet read his book, and I have no reason to doubt that's what he says in it. But the cynic in me cannot help feeling that it's only his side of the story, and Patti is no longer around to confirm or deny the truth of it. A different viewpoint is given in Deanna Martins biography of Dean, where she says that Patti told her that both men were cheating; "That's just the way they were, and Betty(Deans first wife) and I had to put up or shut up" Tolerating the situation, whether for the sake of the children or whatever other reason, is not quite the same thing as 'giving permission'

Linda Shelley Patti was in the business herself and told Jerry she knew it would happen. She asked him to be discreet and didn't want to hear about it. Didn't mean it didn't hurt of course, but she was being realistic. I'm sure she always loved him and they stayed married for many years, although she could have divorced him at any time. Dean was a womanizer long before he was famous. Betty knew, but finding out elsewhere that he'd asked Jeanne to marry him while he was still married to her was too much to cope with. Good looking men....

Can we say mediocre? Jerry has/ had all the charisma and sadly, Patty had basically zero. Not sure why she was on the show. Clearly, on her own, she would never have been given this much prime-time television. Almost cruel to put her on a tv show. Jerry probably needed to amend for his transgressions.
