Glad you caught the overflowing carburetor. What a mess that would have been in many ways. Indeed , cars which have sat tend to have fussy fuel systems. Love that car, will be following the adventures for sure. A favorite for myself are the front side marker lamps saying in amber color what the series of the car is. I am in the spectrum and shapes, sounds and colors get me mesmerized! Thank you for posting these clips! Edit, I think the lights I mentioned were on only certain models!

Wow...Car looks like it's in awesome shape. Carburetor, fuel pump, sending unit and tank are always an issue when they sit for that period of time. You got plenty of resources for parts. Rock Auto and Summit are great resources. Best wishes!!!

Thank you! Yes, I’ll definitely be using Rock and Summit. I will also need some outside resources to find some other components such as the dome light, reverse light lens, and a few other items.

There is a company in North Charleston, SC that specializes in NOS 60-70's Mopar. He had a battery tray for a 75 Royal Monaco I was restoring. It's been a while since I dealt with them. I would also consider Eastman's... It would be really helpful if you could find the original shop manuals for car also. It would give you part numbers... Good Luck!

@@johnc8175 Great, thank you! I love the Monaco's. What motor was in the one you were restoring?

It was a 400ci 2bbl w/ single exhaust. When I was done it had a hotter cam, 4 bbl and factory spec dual exhaust. Rebuilt the entire drive chain and suspension. I sold it to a collector in Sweden...

FYI, if you replace the radiator try and get one with a 2" core. These cars were known to overheat idling with the A/C on... One more thing, Thermo King in Chattanooga,TN can replace your A/C lines if your interested in A/C..

So you must make sure the arm in engine is up before you seat the pump?

NEVER replace that pump like that. Tighten one bolt part way, then tighten the other the same amount then go back to the first one and tighten it a bit more then keep switching back and forth. As for the Thermoquad, they are very finicky to rebuild and to tune but are good carbs if you understand them and know how to set it up they go for it

Is that Fury from the Texas auction? Nice find. Engine size? 400 or 440? The alternator looks like the Leece-Neville 100 Amp unit used on police-spec cars. I'm a huge fan of all Chrysler products and the full size models are some of my favorites.

Yes, it’s the Fury from the Texas auction. It’s a 400. The alternator is a Leece-Neville 65 amp. Feel free to check out the other videos we made on this car!
