    a great tip for you: remember to set the tempo of the music with the SPM! 20 spm = music tempo 20 spm ... etc ... it would be the height of perfection! because here the music does not correspond to the beat of the spm and it is very annoying! do you think you can do that? THANKS

    New here.. what are the percents for? Is it perceived effort or a setting on the rower such as drag?

  • @exploarrowing

    @exploarrowing

    3 жыл бұрын

    you could use the perceived effort approach. Or % of your max heart rate in case you are using a heart rate monitor. EDIT: it has nothing to do with any drag settings on your rowing machine, it is the suggested target heart rate in % of your max heart rate. This way my videos can be used by everyone, regardless of rowing machine equipment or fitness level

    I am a new to rowing, what is the meaning of your percentages?

  • @exploarrowing

    @exploarrowing

    3 жыл бұрын

    Target intensity. I.e. target heart rate zone. It is a loose guideline for effort.

    Forgive me, I'm new to indoor rowing. Why does your POV video camera show the scenery behind the rower, instead of what's in front? Don't get me wrong, the scenery is beautiful, but I'd like to see where I'm going, not where I've been. Thanks for your reply.

    I am guessing many rowers prefer to have same view as in the boat. I for one can't indoor row facing forward, it feels totally wrong to me.

    @@exploarrowing People who "only row indoor" tend to think of looking ahead, whereas people who row actual boats long to see "as in the boat" - like you nicely put it. Some like to see the actual rower in order to "have somebody to set the pace" (like a metronome).

  • @exploarrowing

    @exploarrowing

    @@DenisRaby exactly, there are so many ways to make a video. Forward facing, backward facing, with rower, without rower. I for one dislike seeing the rower as I would feel forced to follow the rower's pace ... however I like to have my own pace

  • @DenisRaby

    @@exploarrowing your vids are fabulous, keep up the good work! and yes, if you put yourself into the video, you may spoil it for someone who is just looking for a relaxed row; or, if you are into the video and rowing at a lazy pace, you will then spoil it for the guys looking for a moderate or hard workout! There are so many other ways (and apps) to set a pace, where you can vary both pace and recovery time (Metrownome for Apple for instance) not to mention C2 or RP3's own pace counter :)

    @@DenisRaby this, and a rather practical issue: one would need to script the on the water rowing session the get those results. A step I am currently not willing to take. Thank you, another location will be added next week.
