I hate when people act like all teenagers are bad drivers with that dumb feature on the new Malibu. If I had a dollar for the amount of adults I saw on the road acting like complete assholes or eating/talking on the phone while driving, I'd have a hell of a lot of money.

  • @vikk5459

+Eric Powers Chevy assumes that all teen drivers are going to be listening to music too loud, texting and driving, and driving too fast. Then, there are teens like me that got their permit at 15, their license at 16 and now being 18 has not gotten as much as a speeding ticket. Maybe we should put that feature on all cars for adults and teens, because adults are nearly as much at fault for negligent and asshole driving as teens are.

+Eric Powers adults drive careless sometimes. Nothing like this preventing them from getting into a crash. Adults don't wear their seatbelts too.

+Vikk 54 if safety features that you don't even notice unless your being unsafe bother you. Only because you think your being discriminated against for your age, and not because the features may save someone life.... you are the target demographic.

+Corey Wittig I'm pretty sure that if these features were across the board for all ages instead of just for teens, you'd have adults all over complaining that they don't want their car controlling how they drive. But no, target the teens, because they're the only ones who drive carelessly.

Yeah, I agree that Honda did their work this year. In 2015, I would have gone with the Corolla, Camry, and Highlander over the Civic, Accord, and Pilot, but for 2016, it's completely the opposite. The new Hondas look awesome (maybe except for the HR-V), and they have a better value for the money imo.

My trust in KBB has dwindled over the years when they keep recommending Honda for everything. Yes, Hondas are nice, but they're very rarely the best The Civic is not a family car and was never meant to be. The CRV, though not a bad vehicle, is not an SUV no matter how much they want to call it one (and that being said, it does have formidable competitors in either car or compact SUV markets).

Our F-150 has been solid and we've had it for 4 years already. My mother owns a 2011 Ford Escape and it's never given her one problem. Ford is a great brand. My family has stood by Ford since i was a child.

+Brenden Pragasam I hope your family is either just one person sitting in the front, or if you have people sitting in the back seat, they better not have legs in order to fit in the Focus. Mazda 3 would be a bit tight too depending on how the front passengers adjust their seats. Mazda 6 I agree with though, think the ride was a bit sportier than those they showed in the video which were a lot more quiet and reserved.

Mazda3 is not really a family car because there is no space for the backseat. And yes I'm driving a Mazda3 hatchback. However it is a really really good car and if I ever buy a fun-drive car again, I would get a Mazda3 with no hesitate. Civic, I dropped it out of my list long ago. And you are right I dont know why they dont have Mazda6. It is much more better handling than the Accord. The room in the cars is pretty much the same but Mazda6 has much bigger trunk. Mazda problem is their dealership.

Again this year you passed the Passat by. The Passat has steel cast (one piece doors with no spot welds) so if you do truly like your kids and yourself just think of that pickup truck about to broadside your family occupied vehicle. The only AWD vehicle worth a hoot in your video is the Subaru the rest struck out swinging in lab tests. Toyota and Honda are for people who don't know cars and just go by what the mainstream says year after year.

They have the Mazda CX-# (I don't know). I think those cars are too sporty or something. They have the best handling in the class but they SUV is more like a hybrid in between a sedan and SUV.

We have a 2015 accord and it's just a great drivers car. Why would anyone buy a Chevy? Yeah some of them look cool, but the history of GM cars is unsafe and will cut corners on things you don't see. Like the ignition switch that killed like 80 people and later found out they knew about the problem 10 YEARS EARLIER.

+SKEMETUBE Most hatchback cars in the US these days are on subcompact cars, they aren't really big enough to be called family cars. The closest you get on this list is the HRV. I think hatchbacks are making a comeback though, just wait till gas prices go up again, I think we will see a ton of them. They are making a Civic hatch next year which is pretty exciting.
