the biggest thing im excited for is that editor, being able to create and write characters, create stages, i feel like im gonna be more invested in that than the actual game

honestly i dont even care about any of the 6 characters even tho they look cool considering that upon release 10s of other really well made characters will overshadow them for me. not to mention of course the games made using this new engine.

I wish there were more questions about FrayTools. The way they described really make it sound like it might be a game changer in and outside of Fraymakers.

A really great interview, but maybe the music is a little too loud, sometimes I need to play back 2-3 times because of that ^^', otherwise a really nice job and hope to see more of that game soon !

I love everything about this game... except for the playable character roster. I hope so much that there will at least one character to bring that star power into the game before release. My top five characters I'd love to see would be Sans, Hollow Knight, Cuphead, Dust & Fidget and Shovel Knight. If even one of these characters made the cut, I'd be 300% more excited for this game. We'll see what happens!

Wall jumping should totally be a thing in Fraymakers Welltaro, Orcane and Fishbunjin can all wall jump in their home games and it would just make sense for Octodad to be able to as well

This comment is for Gameplay purposes and how they're currently functioning (with time stamps). Question 7 is related to Shields/parries. Parries, like in most games are being designed for defensive hard reads. (Shield + B for parry input: 7:34. 7:46 - 7:55 for parry design intent) Shielding does suffer pushback if you're shielding and get hit. (8:15 - 8:18.) Question 8 answers about Airdash Attack Cancelling. The devs confess it to be an "absurdly powerful mechanic" (8:55) but the way they're balancing it is, "if the aerial you cancel into doesn't connect, then you're sent into freefall and also get a lot of landing lag when you lag." (8:57 - 9:04.) All of question 10 has a wealth of information for assists: For competitive players, assists will be balanced around comp play. To alleviate concern over such, one goal of Tester build/EA "is to use feedback to iterate that and hopefully get things into a pretty good state in our EA window" (10:47 - 10:55.) Question 11 is assist meter. Currently, it is built by dealing damage (11:34 - 11:36.) Earlier in the question though, it's implied that we may have different ways of building A.M., though nothing else is known yet. Enjoy this wall of text about gameplay questions asked/answered.

They said that CommanderVideo was the first fighter developed and he’s also currently the oldest fighter I’d say he is, but there isn’t really one

I hope Binding of Isaac gets some love in this game. I’d love to play Isaac in a fighter. Various tear effects, bombs, items etc. Preferably as a playable character, but an assist would also be nice to see.

I have a question myself? How many alts and skins are you planning on giving each individual character? How many alts can a character have at one time? I know Rivals of Aether is allowing up to and including 32, but will the possibilities for alts be lower or higher than that?

So the tester build will be out BEFORE the Early Access in March 2022. That's what I was wanting to know during the final Kickstarter livestream, but everyone kept giving me the EA date!

button during shield for parry is really good. i find it annoying when games use the same button for guard and parry

@@starbreaker6441 right, but not all of them do it like that though. theres a few where you do a command during guard. Super DBZ and The Rumble Fish 2 off the top of my head, though they work a bit differently

When the game comes out ima totally add something like terraria I used to play the roa version (workshop and I loved it)

Coming to this from Rivals of Aether, gotta say I'm really hyped! RoA has awesome characters and Workshop support, but FrayTools really seems like it'll be just as awesome as Rivals Workshop. plus team snakemouth fraymakers it's pure wishful thinking but aaa

I see a lot of potential in this channel. I ain’t a kid no more so I tend to visit mcleodgaming a lot less but this a nice to way to keep me updated on what they got up and coming 👍🏾

I just hope this doesn't become another competitive obsessed game, I miss smash bros being a casual game that people didn't take super seriously, now I'm lucky if I can find anyone else who uses spirits, hope this game doesn't end up like that.

Well casuals are still a focus for the game, given that items are confirmed and so are stage hazards. Not to mention the stupid fun custom content you’ll get to laugh at with friends.

Well the Steam version will also be for Mac and Linux, and the game is confirmed for Nintendo Switch
