A bit late to this conversation, but YES! Innersloth is yet another one of those Indie Success stories, and while their biggest title is Among Us, getting Henry Stickman content would be so surreal to see. I absolutely loved that series. Imagine if we got the Airship or the Wall for one of the maps.

If I start to talk about the possibilities of characters, we'd be here for hours. I have faith in McLeodGaming, they can do it, better than any other team tbh. My most wanted characters … honestly, it's a 3-way tie between Hat Kid (A Hat in Time), Madeline (Celeste) and Ajna (Indivisible). I think a Yeam Jam Fury character could be really nice and I'd have nothing against the idea of having a character from McLeodGaming as a playable fighter. With this project they deserve it. Also Lilac (Freedom Planet) would be an amazing addition as some sort of a Sonic-like character but actually cool. And all the other characters you mentioned in the video. And I'm glad you mentioned The Drifter, because he is already a guest character in Brawlout, but he has been done dirty in this game, which is super disappointing. A second chance in Fraymakers would be amazing. I am not against a single character and I'm fine with everyone, who is getting in, since this project is a dream come true. Sans, Hat Kid, Meat Boy, The Drifter, Yooka-Laylee, Gunvolt, I'll take them all with a smile. Even the flippin Golfball from Golf with your Friends. … Oh and: #ScottPilgrimForFraymakers

No one's saying Shantae? Easy pick for me.

1. I think Madeline actually fits really well into a platform fighter. If you incorporate the dash mechanic as an extremely quick airdodge/roll you can act out of, you already have a really unique, versatile, and creative character (I think I remember an Ultimate mod making this a mechanic for every character). Aside from that, it would be cool to see "Badeline" do most of the actual attacks, giving the character a lot of disjointed hitboxes. So that's my pitch: a rushdown puppet character with a ton of movement options. 2. If Cuphead was poorly designed, he would DEFINITELY be a pain to play against. But since Cuphead itself is all about learning the attack patterns of the bosses to basically "outlast" them, I would love Cuphead as a character with a lot of tools to rack up damage without hitstun (like Fox's lasers) and only a few moves actually capable of killing at all. So, while the Cuphead player is still trying to stay as far away from the opponent as possible, they're unable to put up an annoying wall of projectiles and would instead have to out-maneuver them like in the original game. 3. As for my other personal picks, I'd also like a character from Undertale or Hollow Knight, and I think Sans and Hornet would offer the most interesting and fun movesets there, and a Skullgirls character would be dope. For assists, Yoku (Yoku's Island Express), Pony (Pony Island), the SUPERHOT guy, Rock and Star (Pode), and the protagonist from Journey are my faves.

sorry, but as a Terraria fan, I couldn't let this slide without a comment. 6:17 , why you would do that: 1: the Terrarian has all sorts of weapons, such as Bows, Staffs, Spell tomes, your precious swords, the list goes on. I've seen tons of different moveset concepts scattered throughout the internet, and they're all very different from one another for the most part. so basically, a unique and interesting character 2: the Terrarian has a fairly simple sprite, so spriting them in wouldn't be too daunting. 3: Terraria has a dedicated community, so if terraria got representation, the entire fanbase would become interested in the game. the only thing the Terrarian has going against him (aside from any potential difficulties obtaining rights) is the lack of a clear choice for a stage. but if that's the biggest problem, then I say he's got a chance.

Fighters: 1. Carol Lilac is alredy in a indi fighting game so carol can be a good fighter (also she is the best character in that game) At least they can put Milla as an assist. 2. The forgotten: He can be a sword fighter (or bone fighter) and use some items for some attack, I this he is better option than the protagonist because Isaac can't even punch. 3. Freddy Fazbear: I just think it's funny. Is like the sans mii costume but for Fraymakers. Assist: 1. Milla: She can make a shield to block attacks and reflect projectiles before making that attack thing that you do when you finish pressing B. 2. Creeper: I guess it could be cool, he walks at you and explodes, but is it a indie game? I know it started like one but I don't think he can. 3. The Great Papyrus: He traps you in with blue bones, you can attack and do special moves but if you move even the slightest it will damage you wile he's laughing (it's just a text box above Papyrus saying "Nyeh he he he he" wile playing the voice sound).

My most wanted Fraymakers characters are... #1 - Sans #2 - Hollow Knight #3 - Dust & Fidget #4 - Kris (with Ralsei and Susie incorporated in their moveset) #5 - Hornet #6 - Quote (with a Curly alt) #7 - Specter Knight #8 - Shovel Knight (with a Black Knight alt) #9 -Gungeoneer (all the Gungeon characters sharing a moveset), #10 - Flowey #11 - Madeline #12 - Ori & Sein #13 - an Undertale rep, besides Sans or Flowey (Papyrus, Undyne, Frisk, etc.) #14 - Rusty (with a Dorothy alt) #15 - Juan (with a Tostada alt) I can't wait to see the game's completed roster!

...I can't believe I forgot Cuphead & Mugman! They'd be my new #4 most wanted character and everyone under them would be bumped down a number.

I like your picks! I also am rooting hard for Zagreus and the Hollow Knight bug (though Hornet would arguably be even cooler as a playable character). My personal #1 is The Beheaded from Dead Cells, who has an impossibly huge number of weapons and abilities to choose from, and would translate really well into Fraymakers, as he's already a pixel-art platformer character. My wishlist also consists of Cuphead (as a zoner main, I will not stand for the Cuphead slander), Red from Transistor, Karen from Super Crush K.O., Jackie from Going Under, Cadence from Crypt of the Necrodancer, and possibly a One Step From Eden character (that game just has impeccable style). As for assists: Yarny from Unravel, the G.E.M. ship from Graceful Explosion Machine, an Ultimate Chicken Horse character, some kind of Hypnospace Outlaw computer program thing, a Superhot enemy, and - most crucially - the Untitled Goose

Y'know, I think your top 5 has some really solid picks (Kris and Madeline especially, those two are in my top 5 most wanted charachters too). Great job!

Despite never getting into FNAF, I can't deny the impact the games have had on the Indie Gaming scene. Besides, there isn't exactly a horror game rep in Fraymakers yet, so he could occupy a unique niche in the roster. While far from my first choice, Freddy would be a welcome inclusion.

Honestly tho Bullet Kin would be so damn sick, or any enter the hinge on character, but like- funny bullet man. Would make for a great lightweight/small character which Fraymakers only has 1 or 2 of depending on how you classify them. Would have nice projectiles and plenty of opportunities for creative setups. Not so much a combo character, mostly focusing on 2-3 hit combos, with his attacks typically just being good to get people into his projectiles, though I could see a rubber bullet side special working out well, allowing him a pikachu side special sort of mobility and hell maybe it could kill. Aaaaa the possibilities are literally infinite with this character and I want himmm-

Quote has to be in the game if the developers are really focused on capturing the history of indie games. Cave Story was the first indie game to blow up on a large scale and the characters in it are probably the most widely recognized second only to Shovel Knight. Not including them as playable characters in the roster would honestly be kind of disrespectful.

While I've never played undertake i feel like an inclusion from that series would have the best overall impact on the game. I would personally want to see hollow knight or hades represented as I feel like they have great move set potential

I’d like either quote or curly brace. Their both already in a game like smash so they’d fit in really well

I'd love to see Curly Brace or Balrog, since a cave story rep would be great and also Quote has been done before, so it would be a nice opportunity for a more unique moveset

Great game! Would love to see it happen. Hitting things with a giant wrench while keeping enemies at bay with bombs and a stun gun sounds like a fun character. Maybe she could even use the Usurper Shot to swap places with the opponent.

Basically there are 4 character not seen. My thought process is "what would the moveset fill in for" for every character I find. Currently we lack a projectile zoner in Fraymakers base. Zoners: Quote, Isaac, Bullet. Cave stories Quote brings a lot of interesting elements to a zoner style character with his his weapon works in game. Mixed in with a decent mobility this character will need to focus really hard on map coverage to function well Isaac has recently gotten an update with Repentance and us a character I know very well. This child from a broken home would use a mixture of items, mobs, and tears to keep the opponent away from him. However he is fragile and simply touching him could cause problems. Bullet kin gunning his way into a zoner spot. Once again using a wide variety of guns from in game to attempt his own zoning while also still having casey and Blasphemy to fallback on.

I think the characters I want in the game are already in as a playable characters or assist while some are mentioned in this video. As for the fighters I want, well... Some of them will include flash game characters if that is alright (but I mean, Tankman and Fancy Pants are in the game so so maybe it's not that big of a stretch...) -Yeah Jam Fury (I'm just putting it out there because why not have a game they made in this game? It might also have a pokemon trainer mechanic to it cuz you switching between 3 characters) -Papa Louie (Might be better as an assist than a playable character. Flipline Studios has to agree to it to pull this off) -A rep from FNaF (could make for a better assist than a fighter. Scott Cawthon's consent will be needed for it) -Bendy (Bendy and the Ink Machine is an Indie Game right? TheMeatly and his team need to be on board to get them in) -Henry Stickmin (I wonder how he would work as a fighter but as an assist, I imagine him imitating an assist from any of the other assists. Will Puffballs united be fine with it however?)

It could be interesting to see the Farmer from Shotgun Farmers to be in this fighting game. You could be very creative on that character from an FPS to a fighting platform. Also pretty sure QuaziTV would accept it

Slime Rancher is one of my favorite games and while I'm hoping Beatrix gets in as a fighter, I'd be extremely happy if we get any Slime Rancher representation

My Top 5 Picks: 1. Sans or Frisk [Undertale]: I feel either one of these could work well. I feel like Sans is more recognizable so I personally would choose him but Frisk could work too. I think they could add a really cool morality system where the characters would do very basic or no as violent attacks at first but depending on how they play they could either slowly have their moveset changed to be more defensive if they act pacifist or have their moveset become more offensive if the player choose to go full on genocide route. I think this pacifist/ genocide route idea would work especially well for sans as he normally doesn't fight people randomly unless he feels in danger by them so having this meter system could help make sans (or frisk) seem more like their in game counterparts. 2. Freddy Fazbear [FNAF]: Some may say that this character wouldn't work in a fighting game setting as he doesn't have many fighting moves but I disagree. He has plenty of potential for a moveset. Besides the obvious jump scare or bite move, Freddy could take inspiration from FNAF World and throw a microphone or toss pizza. I think he could be an interesting character to add. Springtrap could also work. 3. Shovel Knight [Shovel Knight]: I see that you wanted Specter Knight in over Shovel Knight which I kind of support but I feel Shovel Knight has to be the main character as it wouldn't feel right to leave him out. He's such an icon of the Indie game community that you'd be crazy not to add him in an indie fighting game! He could dig up rocks, bounce on players heads, and use a variety of relics to battle opponents. 4. Cuphead [Cuphead]: He'd be such visually unique character with his stretchy animations and the variety of bullets he could swap between. I'm just a huge Cuphead fan so I'd love to see him be a character! 5. The Batter [OFF]: This is probably a more obscure pick but I think I'd be great if he was added even if he was only an assist. He's such an icon of the RPG Maker community and his game is so interesting. Granted, many of his moves would have elaborated much further than they are in his game but I still think I'd be cool. He could ricochet a baseball of walls or toss sharpened hula hoops! Unlikely pick but for sure one I'd be happy to see. I feel like spring trap would be the better fnaf rep

I'd love to see sash lilac from freedom planet get in the game, either as an assist or playable I just really want her in. It's possible too since sonic's last alt in ssf2 is based off her. Quote would also be extremely hype. And if possible I'd also like to see Shantae. Edit: oh and of course a undertale/deltarune rep would be sick Edit 2: Also if Quote gets, a Misery or Balrog assist would be sick to go with him

I've always kinda wanted a survival horror chatacter in one of these types of games (mainly due to mvc3 chris) and the only one I can think of that's still indie is sebastian from the evil within. So that's my vote.

I want Travis Touchdown to be in the game. Travis Strikes Again was like Kingdom Hearts but for indies. I know Suda would be down for it.

He would be cool i mean he is my brothers most whated character for regular smash but fraymakers is only indie characters

Guy Spelunky or Zagreus would be amazing, some of my favorite characters recently from the games I've been playing. It'd probably be pretty dang hard to get em in though. I can see Guy having a whip move like Steve and MegaMan ftilt, nair, and jab. It'd probably be broken :P

Me personally I picked a lot of old, classic indie games. I think they deserve some love still :o
