Great video! I have a 1966 Alumacraft - working on making it a bass boat but for salt water.

My last build had a cap rail all the way around which was nice. This hull didn’t provide that, so I agree it’s a little tall. If you accidentally kick a rod, bye bye!

nice build, but one thing, the carpet on that front deck has the grain the wrong way, looks like a different colour from some angles.

I've been toying with an idea like this for my 12ft v-hull aluminum boat and I'm worried that with the front deck it wont be all that stable. How stable was this design standing on top of it in the water?

Honestly, this build was a little too tipsy for my liking. I did a 16’ build that was closer to a mod-v with a slightly wider floor and it was much more stable. I’d recommend that. Now could I fish all day on this and be fine? Yes. Two grown adults might be a little much, especially if there are any waves. Good luck.

Build the deck at the same level of the seats in the boat, this will help with stability issues.

There was no outboard at time of filming, but I sold it with a 6hp Evinrude clamped on the back.
