    Hey. That's cool and all. Me? This guys is the reason for all the rock and metal bands that I have never heard of which overtime though have become some of my favorite bands of all time as of today. But the fine print of it all is that I wouldn't have been listening to metal music as much as I have today if it wasn't for this guy.

The two parts that I really enjoyed were the Tool cover that you clearly loved more than the others with your head bobbin and shit and the last riff where you relaxed because holy shit you just played lots of things. Bravo.

    the question mark means that any classification for that band would be improper. I hear people say that children of bodom are melodic death metal since I was a kid. I still think that cob don't fit into a particular subgenre but they didn't invent one. so they won the "?". same thing for lamb of god, nevermore etc. I've put the genre just to add something more than the band name, riff name and the number. I don't give a damn about labels in music. anvil are heavy metal to me. if you think they're thrash that's fine, it's not a big problem to me because it's UNIMPORTANT peace

  • @eyeintheesky2098

    @eyeintheesky2098

    I have always thought of Children of Bodom as a mix of Thrash or Shred and Melodic Death with a dash of Symphonic for good measure. But why muddy things with labels. They are a damn heavy so why not just enjoy the music. Or at least that's my opinion anyway.

    mario ok, I respect the classification, but that wasn't the point of the post. talking about the tuning I've tried to play more songs possibile with the least number of tuning changes. so I've put the tuning I was using in that moment, not the original used for the song. thanks for the clarification anyway

    I’m really glad that you put The Thing That Should Not Be by Metallica instead of something like Enter Sandman or Master of Puppets because it’s such a crushing yet underrated riff that gets constantly overshadowed by other riffs. It’s refreshing to hear instead of expecting the same old riffs (not that they are bad riffs or anything; just get sick of having the same songs in the same list.).

    i punti di domanda sui generi non indicano che non sappia dare una classificazione. indicano che la band in questione non merita un'etichetta precisa. è dalle medie che mi dicono che i children of bodom sono melodic death metal, così come lamb of god groove metal. per me è improprio. entrambe le band sono una commistione di diverse correnti metal che generano il sound della band. magari niente di totalmente originale, ma non classificabile sotto una voce sola. ed elencarle tutte mi sembrava pacchiano. inoltre la discussione sul sotto genere è come quella sul sesso degli angeli. una perdita di tempo. il genere l'ho messo solo per dare un qualcosina in più di me impalato a suonare tutto concentrato con il numero del riff, il nome del pezzo e della band. cheers
