@Jack The Guide Well, Grindcore wasn't meant to sound good or anything. It was all about the message they delivered. I truly agree that goregrind, pornogrind and other things like that are awful and unlistenable. But I enjoy Napalm Death, their first albums, especially ones where they fused DM and Grind. Terrorizer, Extreme Noise Terror, Dead Infection - these bands are more or less heavier hardcore music. I love my Napalm Death Scum Tee!

Exactly my reason, too. They have amazing riffs, vocals, and don't cheap out on solos AT ALL either. The riffs though, are so varied. You have catchy, simple stuff like Breaking the Law, and then just as iconic, yet more intricate riffs like Painkiller. It's not a case of where I'm listening to Megadeth predominantly for the solos.

It falls in a weird spot between British Steel's radio-friendly-yet-powerful sound and Screaming for Vengeance's more unbridled aggresiveness (The title track always had some strong punk vibes for me) All things considered, I dont think Priest has any bad albums as a whole, but Rocka Rolla, Point of Entry, Turbo, Ram it Down, Demolition and Nostradamus, for me at least, have too much mediocrity among amazing songs. All great riffs, esp Hammer and the Anvil, but the video is "50 JUDAS PRIEST RIFFS" not "150 JUDAS PRIEST RIFFS", although it should be! 🤣 I agree in that I thought it was a shame he used some of the video to cover living after midnight and breakin the law, two of their weakest songs IMO, but he didn't even title the video "...BEST Judas Priest riffs", it's just a demonstration of some of them. I'm just glad he covered Priest at all. They don't get much love these days.
