I love the part where you take the time to talk with people that you come in contact with. My dad always chatted briefly with the bank teller, coffee shop cashier, butcher at the meat counter... just people working their jobs. He enjoyed making them smile. Dad has passed on, but people still tell me that he had a way of making them feel happier. He taught me well. Thank you for posting a truly heartfelt video.

Thanks Stephen to enhance the dialogue, sharing your story and that of your dad's and pointing my favorite part too. My ex girlfriend made me aware and notice the cashiers, start with a smile and looking at someone in the eyes. Now I absolutly talk to everyone!! Maybe that's why I feel comfortable interviewing people😁

yay! I'm glad you can relate :)
I have found (via my old college roommate) that connecting with people in day to day situations (such as grocery store cashiers, waitresses, etc.) adds something special to my day. Something simple like asking them how they're doing or helping bag groceries and goofing really connects with people. I've formed some truly human connections with people that really makes me feel like I'm a part of my community.

‘Enjoying life should be just as much a priority’ - loved that and I couldn’t agree more!! I realise that now as I don’t have a spare moment for myself anymore! So many projects and a full time job! I’m always tired but I can’t complain as deep inside I am very satisfied! I finally love myself and I know where I’m heading! But I do intend to enjoy my life to the fullest ❤️ p.s those palm trees are stunning, the scenery simply amazing! Very motivating video as well! 🙏
I completely agree with the personal philosophy of making every day count, but it is so easy to slip into a routine and not think about philosophy on a day-to-day basis, so I appreciate the actionable steps you have shown here. It is always important to take care of ourselves, do what we love, and truly be present for all the important and beautiful moments that pass so many by! Thank you for this wonderful video :)

Ask yourself how can I make my day more intentional? What would my perfect day look like? What makes me happy and how can I fit more of that into my day? 1. Rest and recharge. ( by maintaining your body clock) 2. Remove distractions from your life. 3. Take care of your body. 4. Take a step towards your goal everyday. 5. Be your best self everyday . not to show the world, but for yourself. 6. Accomplish a big task instead of get panic in various different tasks. 7. Have fun in your day , at least for once. 8. Make connection everywhere you go ( learn to appreciate the tiniest thing/ people surrounds) 9. Take out an exciting thing to look forward to , to break that monotonous cycle of your life. 10. Give time to yourself is the most crucial thing ever to do.
I’m 16 and I love to watch your videos so much, you make me feel calmer
I love how you pointed out the importance of giving attention/focus to the people around us. And just starting a small conversation with them. For me, it truly changes your outlook about life because you get connected with them. Thanks for sharing! :)

It brightens my day and their day too :) thanks for watching
I share your thought about “every day is a new beginning”. It gives me a feeling of a new chance to do it over with the knowledge I gained today and yesterday . Thank you
I really like that you mentioned the small talk part and getting to know people. Next to my creative side hustle, I work 20hrs per week as a receptionist in a health club/gym with about 1000 members in Manchester, UK. As an introvert, I always thought I would be the happiest if I left it all behind, but 2020 made me realise how much I like connecting with our members, greeting them by their names and catch up with their lives. Most of them are super nice, take a genuine interest in my life too and it enriches my life so much. It shows such a contrast to sitting at home and editing videos for 10 hours per day completely alone. I feel so balanced that I get to experience the best of both worlds. I also made quite a few valuable connections and making others smile brights up my day too :)
I love that the first thing you mention is rest. I read something recently, which mentioned that *we do not need to earn rest*. That statement has stuck with me and I have been thinking a lot of how we often feel like we need to earn our leisure and rest time. Thank you for another thoughtful video Sophie! Also, yogi tip, put a blanket underneath the hip of the leg that has the bent knee in pigeon pose. It will actually help you to stretch the muscle by having something supporting your hip. 🥰
I totally agree, I am a introvert but also can make small talk and live my life the way works for me.Love your videos and wait every week to see what you will talk about.🙏🏽❤️
You remind me of someone who minimized your carbon footprint without consciously saying so. Your intentional living is admirable. I wish more people were like you.
I love you .. I come to your channel whenever I need a break .. a detox .. thank you for being my good healing friend .. I wish you all the best
Such simple things, yet we find ourselves doing these rarely. In a beautiful journey of life, these small things are so critical and important to do for our rejuvenation.
As always you remind me of the importance of being present and taking care of my time and myself... something I forget too often... Take care ❤🙏
Life can be just as simple as live to make each day counts, neither brooding on the past, nor planning or seeing far ahead to the future. Love this. Thanks for this video~

Thank you for a beautiful video 🌺🌴 I look forward to your videos every week due to them inspiring me to slow down. I loved the step by step actions I can take to slow down even more. And to also appreciate not just my own things in life but other people around me in my community. I actually did this with a women at the hospital earlier this week. She was checking us in for my 2 month old daughter and she just kept saying how cute she was. So when we left I made it a point to go say goodbye to her and let her see my daughter again. That brought her and I so much joy. She called my daughter a “sweet apple dumplin.” Which is definitely what she is 🍎🤗 so if I wouldn’t have taken the time to tell my husband I wanted to say bye to her we would have missed out on such a cute interaction. Im so happy I didn’t rush out the door. It’s truly the small things 💕
So glad I found your channel. I'm currently "detoxing" from a toxic productivity driven job and routine. I'm trying to use my belongings more and actually enjoy a lot of things I accumulated but was working too much to use, as well as clearing out clutter to make my house keeping easier and more pleasant instead of overwhelming. I love your points on small talk and deserving rest. Thank you and I look forward to enjoying more of your content!
You are the most powerful motivator, real in the world. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for this video,Sophie. So many things I learned from you, from your video,it changes my life as well.It made me realized the do's and don'ts.And to be mature human being, too.

I related to what you said about getting dressed for the day and not just staying in your pajamas. That is really good advice.
My #1 takeaway from this video is to make more small talk with people so I can get FREE DONUTS! 🍩😋 Lol jk. But forreal I’m gonna try to tackle 1 Big task first because you’re right, it does cause me to feel subtle anxiety throughout the day when I keep putting it off for “Later.” Thanks for these tips, Sophie! 🤗💚

Sophie, your channel is so important for ne right now. I always take time to stop and listen to you and think about what you have shared. I had a pivotal moment when I read/heard Jordan Peterson say: the things you do and repeat each day, that is your life. And something I learned a long time ago (tricky but possible) is that you can re-start your day anytime. You don’t always have to have a bad day, if it’s possible to pause and re-set.
