Beefcake genuinely being known for a time as "The Man with No Name" despite having had more than a dozen of them is prime irony. Also, Adam missed one as he was also called at some point "The Man with No Face" despite clearly having a face.

Let's explore: -Krusher Kruschev (at least he didn't try to do a terrible Russian accent, but still) -Repo Man -The Blacktop Bully -Stewart Pain (until real life golfer Payne Stewart was killed)/Mr. Hole In One Maybe not as many as some of the others, but there are some stinkers in here.

    A) Adam is at his comedic best when he fills list with sneaky stealth jokes that you don't always immediately register but the moment you do it's like"Gawddamn! Lord English Englishman is funny as hell!" B) I love Ron Simmons & I don't care if he's gladiator satanic acolyte, mercenary, black militant although Gladiator Ron was low-key one my favorite gimmicks like in general I loved it when I was a kid & I actually love it more now. Because when you're part of an under represented minority you give the ppl that look like you way more leeway (this also explains my ♥️ for Charles Papa FUCKIN Shango Robinson* C) Edward Harrison Leslie's entire career is just him playing around with the Create-A-Wrestler mode from Smackdown HCTP. *Gladiator Ron totally looked like one of He-man's allies that you didn't see that often cause he lived on the Westside of Eternian...... you the bad side🚔

I remember a bloke who used to run a blog following the WWE Hall of Fame who was incensed that Brutus Beefcake was going in because, as he put it, what did he ever accomplish in wrestling other than hosting the breakup of the Rockers? Pretty much nothing. He was just _there._ Never won any championships, never had any good matches, never had any interesting stories, he was just riding Hogan's coattails all the way through the WWF and WCW. And this guy had a very dim view on people being inducted into the Hall of Fame who weren't really significant, notable, or at least _respectable_ players in the industry (you shouldn't even have gotten him started on the celebrity inductees like Drew Carey and Arnold Schwarznegger).

In 1961, Bearcat Wright won the Atlantic Athletic Commission World Heavyweight Championship, giving him the distinction of being the first, unofficial, black world champion. It's unofficial because AAC was an outlaw promotion. Same thing happened when Bobo Brazil defeated Buddy Rogers for the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship in 1962. Bobo's title win went unrecognized because he was working for an outlaw promotion. There's been a lot of black world champions, they just weren't recognized until Ron Simmons. The NWA's first recognized black World's Champion is Ron "The Truth" Killings in 2002.

to in no way diminish Simmons but it loses a lot of luster when you look at the booking around that win -- Sting and Vader were trading the strap, and Sting injured something, so Simmons was randomly selected to get one of Sting's reigns so that A. Vader didn't get too much 'momentum' a s along time Title Holder B. if Sting was healthy in time; Vader could win it back and Lose it to Sting on the same timetable the Big Picture booking Plan originally called for

Fun watch, but does anyone else find the audio mixing a little off? Adam’s voice dominates the bass and treble, but the mids are all background music. The two are fighting for my attention, with the confusing result of Adam’s voice seeming to be both too loud and too quiet. A great script and list, but I’m wondering if this could be addressed in the future?

I think the weirdest was a tie between Freddie Blaise pencil neck geek routine and Gorgeous George and all his crazy mannerisms, clothing and his wigs. I saw them in Omaha my mom took us and at 1/2time we got to see Roy Rogers,Dale Evens, and the jeep Nellie Bell.Sponsered by Vern Gaunya's Gera Speed. I know way old school 1950s. I'm 71.

JBL was used as a prank. That is shockingly appropriate given what he would become backstage.

No. No. No. No. "Make a difference" Fatu was NOT worse than The Sultan. Kama is NOT worse than The Goodfather. Oz was NOT worse than Vinnie Vegas. And, I won't hear you talk crap, about The Disciple's hair. As someone who has donated his hair 4 times in the last decade, I'd plant Adam through a table harder than Rampage Brown did, to have hair that smooth.

I think number eight is something that should not be on this list and no I will not step away from my keyboard. Not only am I the generation that is young enough that I was introduced to Ricky as "The Dragon"! But I absolutely love that gimmick amazing memories of him. His toy was even legitimately cool. He had an amazing wrestling entrance when he came to the ring when he blew fire into the air. Perhaps there was a bad reason for him to be attempted by wwe, to be labeled as something else! But the limit itself was super badass

The funny thing is Brutus Beefcake's best gimmick was probably "The Barber" and even that one was really dumb. He carried around garden shears how the hell was that related to a barber?

IIRC when he started he just had a tiny set of scissors like a Barber should ... but it didn't look right to the crowd (Close ups on TV could show fans at home but the Cheap seats would have no idea what e was doing so they went the Garden shears/hedge trimmers because they were 'giant Scissors' w/o going full 'ceremonial-ribbon -cutting prop scissors

Ridicule the barber gimmick all you want but trust me, Brutus was undeniably one of the top guys on WWF's mid-card. The only reason he didn't go higher was because of that parasailing accident. Guy's got to be one of the biggest "what-ifs" in pro wrestling history.
