One of my favourite Stunner sells of all time is by Santino Marella (RAW, November 5, 2007). The angle that led up to it was dumb (essentially a multi-week advertisement for Austin's movie The Condemned), but the salute Santino gives on the way down (plus some pretty impressive hangtime) is absolutely worth checking out. Also, that dress Maria wore that night...damn.

My favorite rock stunner is the same as Adam's actually. It's genuinely fantastic seeing Austin sizing him up as he slowly but surely pitches forward back to Austin. And shane/randy deserve to be up near the top. Just magnificent looking. I think part of the reason Austin's 2000 return involved giving Shane the Stunner 3 times was because, according to Austin's book, nobody sold it better than Shane. So after a year without any Stunners, it makes sense he'd want it to look as good as possible. And it really did. One of my favourite segments of all time.

Yeah, same. There's just something about landing with a splat on your back and just lying there still that makes the Stunner look amazing, and like it's actually knocked someone out for a moment. Comedy selling like The Rock's is fine now and then, but most times you want the Stunner to look like it's ended the opponent, and that's the best way to do it.

I think the reason why we like those jobbers is because they still get, albiet brief, moments to shine. Like how Fuego started to take on the House of Black solo and he actually was holding his own for a brief second. Or how Shawn Dean may be a complete jobber on camera but is really good on the Dark shows but still has technical wins over MJF and Shawn Spears which is great for an underdog cheer. Plus Brandon and Peter Avalon had that fantastically stupid and silly losers feud that led to the best call Justin Roberts has ever done.

The Stunner is such a good finisher. You’ve said it before but that kick gives you exactly enough time to get hyped for it, then the impact with the pop and the sell is probably the most important part. Great stunner sells sorta can be placed under a spectrum from "great pro wrestling sells" to "great sports entertainment sells", and it goes - Bret ("real-ish") > Triple H (bounces but not all the way boingy-like) > Scott Hall (heading into sports entertainment levels of boing) > Shane (perfect bounce, not so much post-stun flop) > Rock (bounce with obligatory over the top post-stun flop) All legendary in their own right, just a matter of taste and preference. I would say Theory's pays homage to Rock's but with even more sell on the initial bounce and post-stun flop. McAfee's pretty interesting too. I likened it to a cartoon getting Kabonged on the head, seeing stars before dropping off.

PFK is one of the few pro-wrestling channels where they get me to laugh at their Memes. Great editing.

OMG YES!!! I thought I was the only person who remembered the god-awful stunner Vince took in October 2001. Easily the worst stunner ever!!

Not sure if the Santino Saluting Stunner is worthy of an honourable or dishonourable mention but man, it was rather unique

It’s criminal how under appreciated and undervalued William Regal is. If you know, you know.

Unpopular opinion: Pat Mcafee sold it perfectly. He gets hit, falls flat on his back, while beer is spewing out of his mouth. Looked like he got knocked out and it’s beautiful imo.

My fave has always been Kurt Angles, "Candlestick" sell. where after he's stunned, he shoots up right on his feet for a fraction of a second before falling down like a tree in the woods.

best for me was either Santino Marella who saluted as he fell, or Montez Ford from March 16th, 2020 where he just dies and cracks his head on the cooler behind him when he falls back
