10 Stupidest One-Time WWE Stipulations | partsFUNknown

Ойын-сауық

Some ideas are so dumb that WWE only did them once, and for a company that's produced THREE Punjabi Prison matches, that is SAYING SOMETHING.

    Strictly speaking WWE did do an Over the Top, Off with the Top Match twice, albeit under a different name. The December 20th 1999 Raw had Val Venis vs Hardcore Holly with B.B. and Terri respectively in the first ever Holiday Topless Top-Rope Match. Truly, a classic for the ages.

    Well, Zeppo was the straight man compared to Groucho, Chico, and Harpo's lunacy. He served a very important purpose for the Marx Brothers during their stage days and in their first few movies. The idea that he was "boring" probably just stems from the fact that he never had a major standout scene or bit compared to his brothers.

    I remember them doing something similar with Swagger and MVP on Smackdown too, also ending in a DQ. But the rules were slightly different and they didn’t have a counter on screen for points so I just assumed they counted as different “matches” despite basically being the same

  • @chaosof99
    @chaosof99 Жыл бұрын

    If you want to watch some actually good "points based" wrestling matches, you need to see the two matches between Taichi and Shingo Takagi for the King of Pro-Wrestling Trophy in New Japan earlier this year. Both are "infinite pinfall" matches, i.e. you don't win on a three count, but the count adds to your total. The matches are slightly different as one is a scored match after 10 minutes and the other is a first to 30 pin-count, but both are qually brilliant in a very surprising matter. Well, surprising if not for the fact that one of the best wrestlers on the planet is involved.

  • @HACHIAttack

    @HACHIAttack

    Oh yeah, I watched that match. I think that was on Dominion this year. That's a really cool concept. Also, the KOPW Trophy has a lot of memorable stipulations because that's how you'll fight for the trophy; there's also a 2 pinfall match, a ridiculous sumo match, No Finisher match, etc.. Definitely one of my favorite championships to watch for me.

  • @armandotorres8962

    Dear lord that match was fun. Easily one of the most fun matches of the year. When the stipulation was announced and the first few minutes of the match had, i was expecting it to be a confusing stinker. I'm glad i was wrong. The more it went the more the fans got into it. So much the final minutes were legit edge on your seat wrestling and a great win for Shingo.

    Shame it sucks in practice. I like Cody's approach of the top of the cage being something to jump off because it's both crazy and the most logical thing for a wrestler to do when he (or she) is on top of a cage. (P.S. I'm only saying Cody did it first because his match with Wardlow is the only one I can name, but I know it happened earlier.)

    The Gulf of Mexico match is actually very dangerous. As someone who has been to corpus/Galveston, the water is very, very, very green or brown. A.K.A. the exact colors you don't want your water to be. So the polluted water is the most dangerous part .

    No, now it's called a "Premium Live Event." If WWE is going to give us these BS phrases we should take advantage of every opportunity to shove them back in their faces.

    Did they get the broken glass arm wrestling match idea from that one episode of Star Trek: TNG where the Klingons had something similar, but with knives?
