Jericho and Malenko have discussed Batista's fine. Vince planned to fine everyone: Batista and Jericho, the ref, and Malenko (producer of the match). Batista told them it was his idea and he'd pay for everyone which is why it was 100K

If that's true that's actually a pretty standup thing to do on Batistas part. He bit a big bullet. Even for someone of his stature at that point 100k is nothing to sneeze at.

I still don't know why the ref got fined for that. It's not like Jericho and Batista were telling him "hey, Dave's gonna blade, just look the other way." Maybe I could understand Malenko since the agenting needs to take into account spots but the ref...I really don't know what WWE expected him to do to intercede on the blade job.

  • @mikeawesome9212

No, Batista's fine was 100k because Batista ALONE was fined 100k. Jericho, the ref and Malenko were each fined $5000.00 which Batista decided to also pay so Batista ended up paying 115k and THAT is how the story goes.

I was at a house show for WWE in 2017. The opening match was Tye Dillinger (Now Shawn Spears) vs. Aiden English, wherein some drunk dumbass started chanting "USA!" leading to Dillinger playing up the Captain America gimmick while Aiden English angrily shouted at the crowd "I'm American!!!" The best part is that Dillinger is from Canada. The same house show also featured Big E twerking on a ref before the match and also shouting "I'm goin' up!" while going up to the top rope several times. Was a whole lot of fun.

Apparently after the show went off the air The Shield and CM Punk spent 10 minutes just going into the crowd and leaping over it (along with some other shenanigans) to laugh at Seth before CM Punk got on the mic and said "You've all stayed after the shows gone off the air just to watch us have fun. Thank you, it genuinely means a lot." The only nice thing he's ever said.

One time at a Smackdown taping in London in 2012 (the show that had Daniel Bryan break up with AJ Lee, and also 9 year old me was far too comfortable with sitting through a game show NXT and Superstars episode beforehand) during the dark match, a 6 man tag between Orton, Sheamus and Big Show and Kane, Henry and Rhodes, during the match Cody ran into the crowd and as everyone was walking out from the show Cody was running around the lobby of the O2

A wwe show in Anaheim… maybe 2006? Eddie & SOMEONE (I think it was Batista but I can’t be sure) had a match to close the show. But then Randy came out 8 demanded a triple threat for … I think both of their titles? Like, it might have been a champ vs champ match? Anyway, the match was hilarious cuz they kept putting Randy into “you’ve knocked me loopy” situations. And in between, Eddie would keep trying to roll up or chair shot the other champ. Then get caught & apologize… and then clobber Randy instead. I think they co-pinned Randy at the end. I’m pretty sure this is the same night of Goldusts’s return that year.

I went to an episode of raw and after the show The New Day came out and held up a sign that said Bobby Lashley is trash. Calling him “Trashley” on the mic and Kofi grabbed and actual trash can and ran around the ring with it.

Those shorts Shawn wore weren't the style back in the mid to late 90's that was the 70's and 80's. Baggy cargo shorts were the shorts in style.
