You have to admit, tekken character endings are amazing. I love how strange they are, and it really helps the weirdness of some of the character varieties. Not to mention I feel Mishima Industries or whatever the company is called really shouldn't be taken all that serious in the context of the story lol its all just madness.
@shawziiz5031
2 жыл бұрын
Well that just happen in character endings, which most of it is not canonical. Canon plot, oh yea Mishima Zaibatsu is no joke. You had to take that seriously. The characters ending just meant to be goofy that all, especially in Tekken Tag, the non-canon game

The Control music video actually does make sense. In that part of the story, Jesse has realized that the Oceanview Motel & Casino (where you see the music video) is actually just a part of her dreams, so she can control it. And, that's what her mind makes up. A crazy, whacky music video. Jesse even remarks afterwards that "Your mind is weird, Jesse." or something to that effect. So yeah, there's context. You just missed it.
@dars5229
2 жыл бұрын
Hmm. I'm not disagreeing, but I don't really get it. Like, we know other people have used the motel before Jesse. Enough for it to be implemented as a part of FBC security. It's not a product of her dreams, I thought, but something the Bureau has discovered and (mostly) figured out how to use. I thought the music video was, considering we see it after finding out Darling has travelled to a "different plane of existence," a hint that wherever he is, he's happy.

Still think the weirdest thing in a game I ever saw was a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077 where you help a convicted murderer literally crucify himself. Just today I went to "terror island" in Tales of Berseria, and it turned out that it was actually the home island of the Normin Malakhim; not only *that* , but the whole island is a giant *cake* , with a chocolate river/waterfall; it's so *weird* in the usually fairly believable world of Tales of Berseria, that when the crew first arrives, even Velvet's like "What the Hell?" True Crime Streets of L.A surprised me back in the day with the introduction of supernatural elements almost in the end of the story.. you are a Cop in a GTA like game.. and then you are dealing with undead, demons and a dragon! You have to admit, tekken character endings are amazing. I love how strange they are, and it really helps the weirdness of some of the character varieties. Not to mention I feel Mishima Industries or whatever the company is called really shouldn't be taken all that serious in the context of the story lol its all just madness.
@shawziiz5031
@dars5229
2 жыл бұрын

My introduction to Yakuza was watching Like a Dragon while my fiance played it. . .and I absolutely loved it. Good storytelling and whacky side-stories that balanced into an incredible game. I mean to pick it up on an eventual sale for myself. For now, I have Yakuza 0 to tide me over which has been just as good.
Still think the weirdest thing in a game I ever saw was a side quest in Cyberpunk 2077 where you help a convicted murderer literally crucify himself. I could watch WTF moments in games weekly and never tire of them.
One of the moments was in Assassin's creed 3, the cutscene where Haytham recruits Charles Lee into the order and says "May the Father of understanding guide us..." concluding they were templars the whole time in the prologue campaign.
Just today I went to "terror island" in Tales of Berseria, and it turned out that it was actually the home island of the Normin Malakhim; not only *that* , but the whole island is a giant *cake* , with a chocolate river/waterfall; it's so *weird* in the usually fairly believable world of Tales of Berseria, that when the crew first arrives, even Velvet's like "What the Hell?" And the rest of the crew are weirded out by it. Trust me, it's a WTF moment.

Wait, then if DMC4 opera scene is weird, what about FF7:Remake when Cloud cross dress and goes on a full musical number?? That was the best 5 minutes of laughing I’ve had in years! 🤣
A few more mentions: 1. The fight with Flowey in Undertale. What’s this high-resolution mutated plant doing in an 8-bit game? 2. Revenge of Shinobi, an old-school game about ninjas, has a fight with… Spiderman??? and in low enough health, he becomes… Batman????? 3. Crysis Warhead has an anti piracy measure that makes your gun shoot chickens (I’m a bit disappointed that there wasn’t any clucking) 4. In Crash Bandicoot 4, N Tropy falls in love with… a female version of himself????? 5. In Crash Twinsanity, you slide into an adult club managed by Cortex. “are those real?” “mother???”
The baby guy pops back up in Yakuza Like a Dragon. You can summon him for a big bang attack lol.
The Yakuza one, the family head ccomes back as a summon in the latest one... Should have added that as a honorable mention.
The Saint's Row 4 entire intro sequence should have been on here. The whole riding a nuke to "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Areosmith, disarming it mid flight, and landing in the White House so now you're the president. That was just an amazing WTF moment.

I really think you guys should start doing this series as a weekly thing and give it more thought. The ideas for the top10s are decent but the selection itself starts to seem a bit lacking lately. Amazing how you got it going for so long but it might be time for some change.
