But the word originally was intended to mean to say, “Hey, I’m not a hardcore fan. I don’t follow it closely, I just watch from time to time for entertainment or my favourite athletes.” Anyways, there are a lot fans who get inspired to watch MMA from some viral video which somehow leaked on their social media timeline. For example - Me. I was a casual. I somehow got a Conor’s video of his extreme weightcut. Then I watched his fight with Nate. Then one day, a video name “Khabib : Rise of a Savage” popped up on my youtube homepage. That made me fan of him. Then I went down further the rabbit hole. Ended up watching all time greatest MMA matches. The point is, there are many fans who just wanna have a good time. They don’t wanna have archive of MMA knowledge like Firas Zahabi or Joe Rogan or Big John. *In order to properly enjoy they need to know certain basic knowledge like names of all MMA gyms. All the weightclasses. Top 10 champs and their losses. All the crossover division fighters.*

Renzo Gracie vs Eugenio Tadeu started a riot so bad, it spread through several blocks away from the event. The mayor at the time banned all MMA events from happening in the city.

Pride was my favorite fight promotion. It was almost always filled with high action bouts. The looser rule set made for some brutal fights. I miss Pride.

History is funny. I remember being mad at a few of these being so bad. I just laughed through most of the video.

I was at UFC 223. Even though Tony fell out, it was still a pretty decent card. Al showed off his class coming in with 2 days and Khabib was Khabib. The fact that Conor assaulted a bus the day before only made the event have a fun vibe for the fans :)

I think fighting in the elements is a cool idea personally, it kind of goes to show gaps in fighting techniques that are only tested in the cage or ring.

Yes there are alot of people that will taunt/ joke around but as long as you shake hands in the end it shouldn't be a problem. It gives the sport(s) character and makes them more enjoyable to watch seeing someone have fun in what they do. It's kinda like Marshawn Lynch dancing his way into the end zone for a touchdown. Vyselink I’m really not. I’m Scottish, therefore I’m British and there’s UK shows where people speak with English accents constantly. Sometimes I think I hear it more than my own accent. I’m also an aspiring voice actor who can do loads of accents quite well. I guarantee you that if you ask any person who is actually from the U.K., they’ll tell you they’re pronouncing it like that. Try listening again, he’s pronouncing it like ‘Hen-da-son’, missing out the r. A lot of the time English people pronounce it like that. Imagine an English person saying ‘Bender’. They’d say it like ‘Benda’, same case here. Listen for the ‘da’ part in the middle between ‘hen’ and ‘son’, it’s quick and there’s not much emphasis on it but it’s there

And if you go watch the "10 Fighters Who Got The Last Laugh" video with the same guy, he clearly says "Henson" again. 2:39 of this video, there is no "D" sound at all, let alone an R. Slow the speed down to 0.5 and listen again. he CLEARLY says "contender" correctly at 2:37, proving he can say "ender" with an obvious D and R. Then two seconds later he says "Henson", no D, no R.

The Ricardo chair incident was a lot bigger deal than you made it out to be, but yea. The sport was literally on the ropes of being completely shut down by feds after that. Luckily it took place in Brazil so the counter argument was that would never happen in the states. Probably why ufc never went back to Brazil till 2012.

What about Tent Tumble 2? That was actually good though. UA Fighting 2 I think it was called, they ended the event due to littering in the cage at the start of the main event. I remember one guy using a chin in the eye 4 times to win a whole tournament. All these were way old and obscure. Used to love the Hawaiian promotions of the late 90s/early 00s. Quit watching MMA when Pride went away, starting to again though

The reason why Anderson refused to engage maya was because back in the day when they use to trained together with maya, maya used to take sylva apart on the grown so therefore sylva knew that and he didn't want to lose to him, because he knew if maya would of got him to the ground he would of lost.

MMA in the rain sounds like a cool movie fight but it is a disaster irl.

Fedor was overated anyways had he went to the ufc instead strikeforce. He would of had losses on his record alot sooner and a no where near as impressive record/winning streak.

Jason Miller is a great thumbnail for disaster in general. I mean, he did go by “Mayhem” after all. He just didn’t realize how well he would embody that concept.

That Pentagon looked like a great setup
