It was, but I adjusted quickly. JBL was a great heel.. he's the only heel I really hated lol. My problem with the character was that he became champion too soon and was booked to be too weak when he became one. He never had a clean win in any of his title defenses. Also... the rivalry with Eddie should've continued.

Love how the guy says WWE needs to do something "out of the ordinary" which just means doing what he wants because when they do put belt on someone they deem undeserving like Jinder or JBL they flip out

the guy's reasoning behind number 6 is why I stopped watching wrestling, they never pushed other stars. when I was watching all they did was push cena, orton, or HHH and the title would just go between the 3 of them and it bored the crap outta me. plus it didn't help that they got rid of the hardcore division when they went all PG.

To this day I see JBL's title reign as WWE's way to bring the work-rate bar down, after Brock, Angle, Benoit and Guerrero more or less placed it on a near New Japan level. Because lets be honest; at the time, the sloppy powerhouse that was John Cena beating Brock Lesnar would have looked daft. The Summerslam 2014 treatment was a logical reality, even in 2003/4.

Listen man. If you thought Stone Cold actually drank full blown alcoholic beers, still put on long grueling matches, and actually walked away fully sober are you serious right now? What’s next, people thinking Dora The Explorer works for The First 48 as a lead investigator, or Underdog actually played for The Chicago Bull as an front assist to Jordan? Maybe someone’s out here really believing that Popeye The Sailorman fought Mike Tyson in the main event at Madison Square Garden in 94. Nice, just nice.
