    Here's one that you missed. As a general rule in wrestling, you have to look at the chair. When the flat side is coming at you, it's business as usual. When the underside is headed your way, your opponent wants you to block or duck it. This usually happens when you are near the ropes, so that the rebounding chair hit THEM with the flat side.

  • @NotSrijan

    @NotSrijan

    That's very cool. I think this explains my doubt about why they sometimes flip the chair before hitting an opponent.

    I bet Ric Flair used the colors to keep the finish in mind in case he was so messed up that he forgot it during the match. We're talking about a guy who showed up hungover and wrecked an hour before an epic match with Terry Taylor in the Mid-South. Flair has also kicked out at 2 on death twice. 3 times if you count the plane crash. Woo.

    I've watched wrestling since the early 90's when it was WCW vs WWF and the talent was always phenomenal. These guys and girls are paid to make their matches look as violent as possible while keeping the risk of injuries low. If they got seriously hurt they couldn't perform and make money. I always admired the level of dedication that these folks have to the sport and to their fans not to mention the pure athleticism that they display. Even though its fake its still fun to watch.

    @Daniel Hertzler It's fake bro it's a show I don't get the people that say oh it's predetermined or scripted. No it's totally fake and I'm a fan. You can't even administer half the moves without the opponent going with it or helping the sell. I mean suplex's and body slams prime example they literally jump so it's easier to lift. Yea the bumps are real and it's dangerous but so it's doing stunts for a movie doesn't make the movie anymore real.

    I hate these types of things. I mean, as a kid in the 90s..we actually all knew it was fake. We reveled in how real they tried to make it. The energy in it. Most of us were in our yards with our friends and cousins replicating these moves and using these exact techniques. Knowing we shouldn't hurt each other. The drop kicks, torture racks, crippler crsossface, figure four leg locks, choke slams....everything. We knew Triple H couldn't possibly be hitting a person full force with a sledge hammer and that person comes right back within the next week's match completely fine. But they put energy into it, had an arura about it, and there is a admiration of using techniques so quickly in the moment to look good and also safe as possible..So just like watching a movie, you suspend your belief in certain things. Just allow these moments to be believable. Just like when you could believe leprechauns are real and will murder you for their gold. Turtles are ninjas. And some crazy guy will haunt your dreams and murder you with his finger knives. You know it's all fake, but it's fun to allow it to happen. No need to sit back and point out everything that's not real about it. That's just not fun really
