I had the same thought when the WCW video that recently got uploaded said "It's been almost 20 years since WCW went out of business". I just assumed it was a re-upload.

No one talks about the insanity of Raven's lore. Everyone knows the Dreamer stuff, but it was briefly mentioned that Raven's demeanor in ECW was caused by his time in WWF as Johnny Polo. Then you add in the WCW stuff and Sandman being his friend. The ECW lore universe needs to be written down.

Randy also said No to ending Taker's Streak at WrestleMania 21 same with Mark Henry at the Following WrestleMania

Pretty much everyone refused to break the streak, even Lesnar only did it because Vince basically demanded that it happen even though both Taker and Lesnar were against it. In hindsight if anyone should have done it it should have been Reigns right before his Tribal Chief run as that would have then lead to not getting beat for the next 4 years meaning the streak breaking started a huge undefeated run as it should.

Razor Ramone doing that for Sean, and Chris makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my tum tum.

@@alvinnarciso6130 He was one of the rare guys that didn't need a belt to be a big star. Not saying he shouldn't have had a title run but he was kind of like Taker, HBK and Sting that even if they don't have the belt they still are in the main event.

Already respected Scott Hall before, but his section definitely sealed the deal. What a cool dude, met him at a Con a few years before he died and he was totally cool.

I remember him losing to either Adam Cole or Johnny Gargano on Smackdown when they had to use the NXT roster to fill the show because most of the roster was stuck in Saudi Arbia. That was wild to me.

Father Time has beaten Edge like 3 times in the last 4 years so severely it's kept him out of action for months. I think if Edge decides to get in the ring with Father Time again, he may just put him away for good with a casket match.

Only that never happened Jericho was told as the match started he was losing, he didn't suddenly say "Actually Shelton is going to win" He literally says this in his book

@@zanethind Which he did not do because it was not Jerichos choice. He was TOLD he was losing right before the match, he may have thought he was going over when he walked out but then the referee told him they'd called an auditable and Shelton was going over Jericho HIMSELF admits this.

Honorable mention to Scott Hall putting the future Ace of NJPW and President of the Universe, Hiroshi Tanahashi, over during his tour of Japan.

Raven's last Match in ECW wasn't for the Title. Dreamer didn't get the Belt until all that mess with Awesome and Taz in 2000. It was his first win against Raven, though, yes. Shane Douglas was the ECW Champ at that time. He lost the Belt to Taz on that day.

Well, depending on how you look at it...

Michaels and Angle, not only did Michaels insist that Angle go over, because Angle was about to feud with Cena and needed to look strong, but he told him to put him in the Angle lock so he could tap out to his most dangerous move. Also both HBK and HHH refused to break the streak and both thought it should never be broken. Damn Shawn was a different cat his second run.

This is why i love wrestling guys who have every reason to be selfish and preserve their brand, paying it forward for the good of the business and the next generation. Such a beautiful thing Except you Trips, you bogus for that

The "Reign of terror" has been so overblown its reached stupid levels. In fact if you go back and look HHH put over lots of guys and jump started a lot of careers. The only two legit ones you can say he should never have gone over are Booker T, still unclear who actually made the call on that one, and Sting which there was no chance in Hell Vince was ever going to let the symbol of WCW beat WWE at Mania. Other than that look up the win/lose record of HHH and who he put over. Remember its not just about if a guy beats you but when he beats you such as Cody's win at 40 being bigger because he lost at 39.

Dreamer finally beat Raven in ‘97 but not for the title, only because it was their final match. He won the title in 2000 from Taz, but only because Taz was a transitional champion working for WWE. They were two of the biggest wins of his career. It says a lot about him that on both those nights he then put all the heat on somebody else (Jerry Lawler / Justin Credible).

I have a very very huge theory on Lesnar breaking the streak, but it requires you to walk through the veil and think inside of the world of wrestling, and not as an audience member. Undertaker had a massive aura around him at that point in his career, however, he wasnt going to be able to compete much longer at the main event level needed. They could not at that point pass that aura on to Roman Reigns, he wasnt ready, but Lesnar was able to hold onto it, and in 2022 is when he finally started to pass it on to Roman. It may be insane and probably unrealistic if you look at it through the audience pov. In story though, its almost exactly what happened. Post Taker, Lesnar became an unstoppable monster, until Roman took it from him and became unstoppable himself.

You also have Jericho refusing to win at one match, I blanked on who he was wrestling. But was in the other guy's home town, was scheduled to win, but Jericho called an audible mid match and told him to roll him up, and then 1 2 3.

And Raven had already lost the ECW title to Terry Funk at Barely Legal two months before the loss to Tommy; Tommy didn't get the ECW belt until mid-2000, and even then only for around 15 minutes...
