the person offside in the first clip was the guy who crossed it in on the left-wing, not the guy in the box

VAR was introduced in Romania this season and some the decisions were a disaster. Players got away with "Kane-like" tackles and offside lines were drawn so bad (the system does not yet use the automated offside soft that we saw at the world cup) that in one instance the offside line was not even parallel to the ground texture line. Oh and the head of referees states in a press conference that he doesn't care if a player goes out on a stretcher and ends up in the hospital, it doesn't necessarily have to be a red card.

I stopped watching that World Cup and know Argentina will win the WC right after they were awarded that penalty against Poland. Even the one they get against Saudi was not justified.

Yeah Bellingham disallowed goal outrages me the most and that is exactly because yeah okay why are we listening to the whistle. If there is a ref who makes a mistake like aren't the guys running var constantly checking the feed for something just like that. To me this makes var completely useless and it shows that to this day, football is unfair, impure, mostly based on skill but a lot of it could be up to luck and/or corruption. He had 10 Goal Contributions overall and was included in even more goals. He scored some beautiful goals and even his assists were ridiculously good. His perfomance at the World Cup wasn't just about pens, he was the Player of the Tournament for a reason.

@@louisegreen1557 You can't tell anything at that time. The corner kick taker (27) was ruled offside when the ball was played back out to him. He's playing the ball at the time you mention, but it was ruled that he hadn't got back onside after taking the corner when Huang headed the ball out to him. There is an angle (non-VAR) and he might have been barely onside. The question was whether Alexander-Arnold at the far post was playing 27 onside when 27 was on the near side of the pitch.
