It's only bittersweet as we mourn the loss of Sidney Poitier. But what a tribute in its own way. Thank you for a brilliant arrangement and performance, Tony.

Rest in peace Sidney Poitier a beautiful soul who's existence made this world a much better place.

Natalie Merchant and Michael Stipe are two of the most gorgeous and talented humans in the world. I love them both dearly.

Are there words to describe the beauty of this? If so they fail elude me. Natalie Merchant's voice is not of this world, she singly sounds like the voice of a thousand angels singing a song so sweet human ears can not comprehend it.

No question. I love how they both incorporated their distinct cadence and phrasing signatures. Simple elegance.

No “new” artists today can even touch this level of artistry. Not to mention live doing a classic and making it sound fresh!

One of the greatest songs ever, beautifully performed by Natalie and Michael. I'm sure Lulu loved this.

Two great singers and song writers. They wrote about real life, but in a way that made you want to sing and dance. They are rare talents.

Perfect duo for one of the most beautiful songs ever. They did it justice.

Oh how I miss the bands of the 80s. There was some magical element about so many of them. Hope, encouragement, laughter, hurting, love, etc. in so many songs.

edwoll77 Well, sorta, lol... he actually dated Natalie in the early 80s. ☺️🤷🏻‍♀️ They started as friends but it turned into having romantic feelings toward each other. For a long time he didn’t identify as anything because he was attracted to both sexes. Later he was asked about identifying as gay, he said “I don't. I think there's a line drawn between gay and queer, and for me, queer describes something that's more inclusive of the grey areas." He’s had long relationships with men, but it seems as though women will never be “off the table”. 😉
