A very good trichologist once told me, we do not need a leave in conditioner or conditioner. I have not used a conditioner for about 5 yrs. Guess what, my hair is good.

She is right. Since I blow dry with my Revair after every wash i need to use some kind of conditioner. I used to use a deep conditioner then a leave in. My hair was always stiff and dry no matter what combo i used. I stopped using any leave in and just one rinse out (either a dc OR the lighter matching conditioner) and my hair feels so much better! Also layering those conditioners were actually making my hair weak and brittle.

I use the Revair as well & use a combo leave in & heat protectant. Based on this video, I am using too many conditioners. After the revair, I will just apply the blue magic & twist up. This will simplify my routine as well b/c I also deep condition. Looking forward to seeing the difference in my hair.

I too will start using grease as my conditioner but for now, I have a wash and go that I used a leave in, hair cream, and gel. My question is, for future reference, does a cowash count as a "washout" conditioner and once out of the shower, no more conditioner?🤔 I will switch to shampoo once I go back to grease and watch your videos on this during my journey 🤗

Does this also apply to relaxed hair? I was wondering if relaxed hair needed more than just one conditioner? Thanks for all the information also. I started using grease due to your recommendation and my hair loves it, I'm experiencing less breakage and less shedding in only 1 month! @@LadyJacqueline07 Hello! Sure, my regimen isn't perfected yet but I can share it with you. I wash my hair twice a week, Tuesdays and Fridays. Here are my steps 1. Pre-poo for about 10 minutes with african pride or a conditioner 2. Shampoo twice, once with head & shoulders and the second shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo, I like aussie moist 3. Condition for 5 minutes or deep condition for 30 minutes usually one of the shea moisture masque 4. Leave in conditioner shea moisture leave in 5. Grease mixed with a handmade moisturizing lotion so that it isn't as heavy on my hair And then I do two braids or twists while my hair is still wet and I style them in a low bun until next wash day and my hair stays moisturized that way :) For the past month, I've seen that the grease really helped in keeping my hair moisturized. You just need to experiment with how much you put, I was too heavy handed at the beginning so be careful of that!

Hi! I don’t use the sister conditioner, I use grease to “condition” my hair. I use leave-in or deep conditioner only when I blow dry. I deep condition maybe once or twice a year. Sometimes I deep condition when I want my hair to smell like it. I think deep conditioning is a must only with chemically treated hair.

@@kimberly5240 Using your medical hardship as an excuse to receive free hair consultation is abusing kindness. I’m sure you don’t tell that to your landlord or mortgage company. You tell her that because it’s obvious that she’s a kind southern black woman who will probably oblige out of compassion. But she can’t do that for every person who says they can’t afford a paid consult. She has a family, and this is her business. So one free Q&A is plenty. If you watch all of her videos, you’d probably find your answers. Maybe that’s how you can “pay” her for free consultation. Watch, like, share and subscribe, or send some business her way. Thank you for the well wishes. I wish you blessings as well.
