Спорт
Joel Naukkarinen (www.finnishpair.fi) pulled a new 1minute world record in the male heavyweight 19-29 age category:
www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers...
The Quiske startup team was there witnessing and recording the feat. After the record breaking minute Quiske measured the technique of Joel with the Quiske Rowing Performance App and sensor, see our next video published soon after this one...
Quiske is a Finnish startup developing a system to help rowers improve their performance.

Whatever you guys were shouting, come and shout that at me when I'm rowing. Every little helps. Fantastic performance
Brilliant, it's made me want to dust mine off and get back on it at age 59! Hell yeah!🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
at this pace, 1min is a really long painful effort!
I didn't understand more than a few words, but heck yeah, that dude could row! My record is 34 strokes per minute on a Pro-Form indoor rower and I am pretty sure that is about 1/2 the speed Joel Naukkarinen did in the video. Way to set a new record 👍
Guess he's got another pair of shoes just like those at home. Seriously, well done. Touch out of my league as I'm 72. One can dream.
Is anyone gonna comment about how annoying those frequent transitions were?
wonderfull vid
Awesome result
The back was curving way to round. Great effort🎉
Was that a 52 stroke rate?? Wow.. I don't think I had hit 45...
Is no body going to mention the video is sped up? I don't get it, the daffodils are all over the place in the background.
was the camera sped up, wasnt sure at the beginning?
Special row machine socks?
What is happening
Thats fast.
They were off beat... I'm surprised he didn't get off pace. Well done.
Those transitions omg
Superb ...farm strong
That’s how the Vikings boats sounded like😂
Phil clapp now has the record pulling 431 M that's about 1.07/500
New world record!
I'm trying that tmow..I row everyday
geil!
I think I actually raced this guy in the video :)

Hey Marin - and you raced me a few times as well. JWCH 2003, Munich 2004, JWCH 2004 and I think on a few other occasions ;-)
fuck me that chain looked like an elastic band!! lol respect brother 💪👋

Filthy mouth.
he needs to do it again. HIs feet are probably two holes too high. He could get more leg push into it if he lowers the foot cages.

i have very little idea about rowing, but his technique seems to be everything ppl tell me not to do, pull arms early, open back early, like he probably could get better leverage if he paid more attention to form, no?

@@omniphage9391 I think it's pretty normal for people to knowingly use crappy form when going for these short duration records. Eg. look up vid of strongman Brian Shaw on the erg. He's using lousy form--but he's super strong and I think he sets a record. So for these 100% exertion short record situations, bad form is ok. But if someone is doing a 2k or longer, they should really focus on good form b/c it will lead to better times.

A longer stroke length requires a slower pace and even _more_ force during each stroke. At a 1:12 pace, I'm not sure I would be signing up for a higher force curve just for the sake of "good" technique.

@@afterthesmash his technique for a short-duration speed attempt is actually pretty good. But his feet are really high up. Maybe he deliberately likes them up high like that. I still think he could shave a second or two off his time by lowering his feet.
Only 300 likes, wtf lol 😂. awesome video.
What muscles get toned from rowing?

Skills! I think I am setting my feet too low in the stirrups after watching how high Joel has his 🤔 Only 1 minute but boy that looked like Pain every second 😂
My hits gonna have some serious back issues with that form
The chain slap was off the hook...
Idk why this video seemed like 3-4 minutes.... I feel the pain
No paljon meni?????????????
FENTON!!!!!.... FENTON!!!!
0:41 Not speaking even ONE word of Finnish, but that yelling must be the very special way of say kind things by using bad words and putting loud voice to it. Being understood by sportguys all over the world.
1:12.1/500m = 933.8 watts
Were they chanting Red Bull! Red Bull! Red Bull!
😮😊
Geppetto! Geppetto!
he rowed so hard, his shoes were different colors
Ihana

Poor technique. Could probably go faster if he actually rowed slower but with better-delivered force.
