    I live in Tennessee, US, and I found this show about 5 years ago.. This is one of the Greatest shows Ever... When I started researching why there were only 3 seasons, It broke my heart to find out the story of Dermot Morgan was gone... I can't watch the last episode because of the last scene when Ted says goodnight to everyone... It brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it.. I think this show is in the top 3 ever made.. Father Ted, Still Game, Mrs. Brown's Boys, Peaky Blinders, Seinfeld, are my Top shows Ever made...I watch at least 2 episodes of Father Ted everyday... I'm trying to get over there to Ted fest, soon as I can.. Who was your favorite character from Father Ted??? Tough choice huh??

    Easily one of the best comedy shows ever made! I think Fr. Fintan Stack was hilarious, they should have done more with him. Main characters: Dougal is my favourite!

    @@TheIrishGuyVlogs I wish they would have done more with Father Dick Byrne, and Father Cyril MacDuff... I loved those 2 as well... I watched a doc. that said that Father Dick Byrne, played by Maurice O'Donoghue, was almost cast as Father Ted.. They chose the correct people though.. I can't imagine anyone else playing Father Ted... Dermot Morgan was a Genius... What a Great man ...He was in like 25 episodes, and became a Legend...

    "But out of all the places in the world, you could do far, far worse than Ireland." I'm an American moving to Dublin in the fall (hopefully to stay) and this is the exact sort of sentiment I remind myself of. It ain't perfect, but from the outside looking in, it seems like a place I'd much rather be in than the US.

    Great video, honest about the pro's and cons. What I love about Ireland is sense of community that still exists in the towns and even some suburbs of even a big city like Dublin, sadly lost in most parts of the UK, also love the optimism and exuberance of young Irish people, even in the face of the cons mentioned in the video they still smile and laugh and enjoy the craic, you can't put a price on that, overall its still got to be one of the best places in the world to live and I've no plan to leave anytime soon 😁

    This is real 4 seasons in a day weather. Heat exists here from April to September, the rest is cold, rainy, windy. I don't think Ireland will ever stop taking in Immigrants and I'm perfectly fine with that. Most Irish people in the world were immigrants, most of Australia was built in the backs of immigrants. What should be stopped is the politicians who over promise and run the country into shit, and THEN they blame it on the immigrants.

    That's not where the caravan was. If you follow the road to the beach you'll find the spot just before. The sheds/toilets in the FT episode were not real so there would be no sign or remnants of that. And the caravan that they were in that didn't belong to them was a real caravan but no longer exists. The owners do have a new caravan on the same spot though. It is the very last caravan before you reach the beach. Has a picnic bench beside it. Can't miss it. Another great video David

    Holland built the first practical sub, but in the U.S. civil war at least 3 subs were made . Hunley, Pioneer ( by same team of experts ) and one other called the St John’s after where it was found by unknown people . This was only 10 -15 years earlier than when Holland submitted the plans . None of the subs were very effective and were built by acknowledged experts so NAvy was not as stupid as it sounds. Batteries , electric motors and engines.needed to be developed in 1875 that were not there then developed enough for use.

    There's way more people that tried but failed. I recorded footage of two of those examples in the Holland museum, they're all over the walls as you enter, I didn't use them, even though they're a similar premise, they're completely different designs and intended uses. Bushnell invented the turtle, a 1 man apparatus for personal underwater travel. Drebble invented an underwater boat that had a crew of rowers inside to power it. Holland invented the modern day submarine.

    I find these nationalistic origin statements kinda sad and counter to the global cooperation of scientists and engineers. These developments always happen in increments, then at some point in the future some nationalistic historian comes about and determines at which increment it was an "invention".

  • @TheIrishGuyVlogs
    @TheIrishGuyVlogs3 ай бұрын

    Of course, all inventors are standing on the shoulders of previous innovators. But those previous innovators didn't make the final product. So they can't be called inventors, yes they've helped tremendously but didn't get there, the inventor did. In this case, the inventor who made it work and proved it could be done, happened to be an Irishman.

    Excellent video. My Dad told me about him as one of the famous men of Clare. Funny you mentioning James Martin. My Dad was one of eight boys from Kilkee (Rahaniska & Tarmon). Five of the boys left for London in the 50's for work. Two of them including my Dad went to Martin & Baker. He left there but his brother stayed there for life. He has some pics from those days in the 50's where he played for their Tug of War Team where they played in a league against other companies in the area. Goodness knows where Tug of War is played these days. And talking of Rahaniska, it reminds me of their neighbour who was famous and perhaps someone that you could do a video of as she certainly has some history! A certain Katheleen Talty. If the name doesn't ring a bell, google her name with Kilkee and you'll come across a cracker of a story. If your not familar with Rahaniska, it's an area you would pass through between Keane's Oyster Bar by Lisdeen Church down towards St Martins Well. Great work again. Take care.
