Bird of Prey Centre & Aillwee Caves Tour - The Irish Guy Vlogs
I recently had the chance to visit the Bird of Prey Centre in the Burren. It was my second time there but it was even better the second time around. There's so many cool species of birds there and the work the centre does for bird conservation is amazing. I got to speak to Clodagh, one of the worker there about her work in Conservation in Nepal. I also has a small tour of the Farmhouse giftshop and sampled some of the honeys and cheeses they have to offer, really tasty stuff and locally made. After that I went on a tour of the Aillwee caves, got to see underground waterfalls, bear bones and 100% complete natural darkness, it was an awesome day out. If you're in the Burren any time of year, pop in and have yourself a great day out. Thanks to Shannon and the team for letting me in for the day to film and for giving me a great experience.

😂😂 The poor feckers have had it tough! I'd say they hibernate around Christmas time 😅 It was a great day out man, I really enjoyed it and delighted you've added it to your list! 😎 My work here is done haha. The cheese and honey was 👌🏻 too!

Is my content not cheesy enough for you? 😅 I'm glad you're enjoying them, trying to visit and promote more places around clare and Ireland but with everything that's going on it might be my last outdoors video for a while 😅 but hopefully not. Great spot mate, i love the caves, and the Cheeses from Caherconnell Stone Fort are fantastic, You should pay them a visit, another fascinating day out, thanks again for sharing.

Cheers Johnny! I appreciate it man. Yeah it's a lovely spot, even on a bad day. Haha my dad mentioned Caherconnell a while back too, I must look them up! The cheese was really tasty. One of them tasted exactly like ham 🤤

@@TheIrishGuyVlogs you've been to Fanore, the bridge you cross at the Caher river, go up the valley there and about 1.5 miles up on a sharp left there is an old rocky road that leads to an archaoligical dig site with proof of hunter gatherers dwellings, fire pits etc. There are informafion plaques along the way. A quiet but very beautiful spot. Swam in the stream there my whole life. If you get a dry day it is really worth a visit

@@careybarrett2090 Fanore is beautiful! I was at the ruins of an old stone Fort on a tour of the Burren years ago but I've never heard of anything like that there, it sounds really cool, I must look into it. It might be a cool video idea! 😄

@@TheIrishGuyVlogs the stone fort is on the same main road. You could do a foraging dinner too, muscles, winkles, mushrooms and fish if you are lucky along the same coas road, can't mess up muscles and winkles.

@@careybarrett2090 awesome! I have a rough idea of where that it is. It's fairly easy to get lost in the Burren 😅 my dad does a lot of seafood, I was talking to him recently about coastal foraging, he said there's loads there. Loads in the Burren too. I just have to research more so I don't end up eating magic mushrooms by accident. What a video that would make though 😂
