I've learned just going to bed does wonders for the late night 'hunger'. If I'm really nuts mixing protein powder into milk with some vanilla helps. Then going to bed. I'm not a regular viewer (sorry, but being honest...) why did you go down in dose? I've lost almost 100 pounds and have another 60 to go to get myself into the middle of normal BMI. My glucose control is good, but I wish it were a little better. Yes, I'm T2D.

I took something called OMAD ( 23 hours of no kcal intake ) and lost 39 lbs / 18 kgs, 60% fat ( key to keep hunger at bay ) and 20% from Carbs and Protein. Nice dessert is to freeze cottage cheese for 2 hours - then whip it up to make it creamy and add to it whatever you like.

For me having enough protein spaced out though out the day keeps the hunger at bay. I take a protein supplement one hour before bedtime and that keeps me from waking up hungry. I have some sort of protein with each meal and if I have planned for a snack it will include some sort of protein. I started off using Mounjaro but quickly switched to compound because I could not be bothered with the whole shortage/insurance circus. Losing weight is challenging enough with all that added drama.

Hopefully your insurer will see the light before too long. Meanwhile, you should have better luck going the route of compound pharmaceuticals. Fortunately, I'm approved through my insurer for at least 3 years with a $25.00 co-pay (Type 2 Diabetes), & much in need of weight loss as well. I'm not even sure I could afford the compound pharmacy prices . I mean to maintain the minimum dosage necessary to lower blood sugar levels & manage my recent Diabetes diagnosis with the help of exercise, and especially through a better diet. Good luck to you and to everyone on their respective journeys! 👍🏽💯😊

...I'm on 2.5 mg. Mounjaro for Type 2 Diabetes, 2nd week, $25.00 co-pay, approved for 3 years, in need of weight loss as well. I'm glad for folks like you Jenelle because my P.A. gave me precious little guidance in prescribing Mounjaro, although admittedly it's my own fault for not watching my weight and eating habits more carefully in the past. I've lost 11 lbs. (first week) thus far, only weighing once per week. My shot day/time is 6am Saturday, moved back from Sunday. I work at night & cope fairly well with my symptoms kicking in between 8pm & 10pm M-Thur. nights at work. I'm staying with Sat. morning because I'd rather not deal with symptoms of mild to moderate nausea in the mornings after work, or at home on weekends besides some moderate fatigue. Experiencing some insomnia, although when I sleep, I sleep better than before & need less sleep. Mild fatigue and nausea, and enjoying making better food choices and a suppressed appetite. Cravings are moderate and limited mostly to moderately unhealthy foods once closer to my next shot date. Even then, I seldom give in to my cravings and the yearning for sweets has all but disappeared. I admit to indulging in a bowl of cheese grits with butter this morning though. Good Luck on your journey everyone! 👍🏽💯🤗🙏🏽

Great appetite suppression tips! The water tip really works. I find that an ice cold Topo Chico (or any sparkling mineral water) works like a charm. Also, just distracting yourself by doing a task or taking a walk is a great idea. Also! I love hearing you say it’s not a reason to panic. Too many people get panicked at the first sign of hunger. But that’s the magic moment when your body starts burning its own fat. So it’s a good thing (to a point).

That a tough question for me to answer because my approach to this medicine and my weight loss journey is a tad different than most. I like to focus more on my eating habits and the medicine second. But that is only if it is still providing some appetite suppression and little side effects. And if you are still seeing weight loss I would stay and if you are in a stalling maybe try to tweak a couple things and if the scale is still not moving then go up!

I just took my 4th shot of compound Tirzapatide. So far so good, I have had decent to good appetite suppression. I’ve lost about 7 pounds in three weeks -that follows having lost 13 pounds on my own since May 5th prior to going onto the medication. For me, compounds are the only choice as I am on a Medicare D HMO plan and it will not cover any type of weight loss medication for me.

Ever since then I've been struggling to get more medication. My terrible insurance and the shortage have made me nuts. so I switched to Mochi Health to do compounded Tirzepitide. That went fine except my med wont arrive for 2 more weeks. I am determined to NOT fall apart waiting for the med to get here. Ive beem counting my calories and protien grams, drinking 80 ounces of water exactly as I did for 12 weeks on Zepbound. I've got to hang in here until I get the med.

Sugar and processed foods are one of the most addictive drugs in the US. Im reallt trying while on this to use this peptide to detox from the foods and processed sugars. I have replaced the sugar for pure dark chocolate, Ice cream for yogurt mixed with organic raisin bran and just implementing natural sugars and healthy carbs. It really helps to replace and not buy it. in one sense or another our foods have made us addicts. This realization angered me and makes me want to invest in my own choices of what goes into my body.
