    i got lucky and found a rav4 prime xse in the color and trim level I wanted. The lease incentive (in the us at least) is what pushed me over the edge.

    Great video. Love the details you put into creating it. Very informative as well. I finally made a decision and going with the 2024 Mazda CX-5 2.5 Turbo Premium AWD in Machine Gray Metallic. Paying in cash. Should be here within the next three weeks. Can't wait!

    It’s a little unsettling at first hearing the high RPM rev when you put your foot down on highways when you’re going past 65 mph, especially coming from 2 different RX V6s, but as long as you don’t floor it, it’s settles down. 2:25

    The V6 was nicer. I drove it the year before driving this one. Unfortunately Lexus/Toyota has completely phased out any and all V6 engines.

    @@ONI1013. The TX & IS 500 don't have it. The standard IS, RC, ES, LS, & LC but for how long? I should've worded my previous comment differently haha. Some cars still have it but the next generations (if they don't get discontinued) will most likely not.

    @@MGReviewsBlog as you say, they may not keep this in 2025, but my hopes are they will. Can’t see any performance flagship or big TX/GX not having at least a V6. And yes, the current TX has the V6 variant and IS F Sports has the V8 variant.

    It's worth mentioning the extensive use of aluminium to reduce weight and thereby improve economy and performance. It has similar acceleration and top speed to cars like the 5 litre Mustang and the 4 litre Maserati whilst doubling their miles per gallon in every driving mode. Personally I prefer a wolf in sheeps' clothing than has NO loud & snarly exhaust and no other signifiers of 'performance'. It just drives beautifully on every type of road and in all conditions, in extreme comfort and safety. A true driver's car that's also practical, reliable and beautiful. My previous cars were Alfa 156 & 159 Sportwagons and 164 V6 3.0.

    The shorter center screen is definitely more pleasing to look at then the tacky long vertical one. Mike is right about the 2.3. Sounds good on paper but is a farce to the the V6 it replaced in terms of fuel mileage and reliability. A natural aspirated or turbo charged V6 will be smoother while driving, idling, taking off and passing on the highway then any modern day 4 cylinder. The manufacturers save money building inexpensive 4 cylinders as opposed to V6's. The fuel savings is negligible and is a real world lousy argument and only holds muster to obtuse YOLO buyers. The rwd platform is definitely a plus and the optional 3 ltr V6 is not only a must but the really only engine choice that makes sense in a big heavy 3 row suv and most likely will achieve similar mileage as the 2.3. The Edge or Escape makes more sense for the 2.3 not the Explorer 🤙🏾🇺🇲

    The 360 camera and handsfree liftgate are pretty rare for the segment.I wish you touched on that

  • @MGReviewsBlog
    @MGReviewsBlog14 күн бұрын

    They're not that rare anymore. The Kia Seltos & Mazda CX-30 both have a power liftgate while the Hyundai Kona has surround view cameras. Admittedly, not both. But the Kona & Seltos are both also available with ventilated front seats which this does not have. And also the Seltos has a head-up display as well. Surround view cameras are great but the ones on this Eclipse Cross have some of the worst resolution I've seen on a modern day car.

    For the upmost in unreliability and expensive repairs the BMW M340i and the Audi S4 will be the better option! And you pay for that crap poor reliability upfront because the BMW M340i and the Audi S4 actually cost significantly more when you buy and spec them out accordingly🤣

    Typical biased review from which Ford has to make the best of. You give the highest possible range for a Ford and then add another 5k miles to it and then give the lowest range for a Toyota! In reality, this Toyota RAV4 can go over 90km in the city purely on battery power!!!

  • @MGReviewsBlog

    If you can make the Rav4 Prime (North American spec, not Euro spec) go 90+ km on electricity only, great for you.

  • @Pac0ization
    @Pac0ization20 күн бұрын

    Interesting comment... It seems like you didn't like the reviewer's opinion so you offered your own biased opinion. That's fine and I believe you. I can even share from my own experience as I own Ford Escape PHEV 2024 and my usually commute is about 52km, 90% of it is highway (no A/C on) during which the battery drops from 90% (I don't charge above 90) to 10-13% (the worst case scenario). The best result I saw so far was a drop from 90%-25% on the same route, which would be equal to something like 80km of electric range.
