Also currently 3 days from finishing up an 8 week course my doctor has put me back on the highest dose again :( I hate steroids so much, it’s really hard emotionally to be sick to begin with but prednisone makes it 100x more difficult to deal with

They in fact DO have performance enhancing qualities esp on the right dose. You can endure a much much longer and harder workout on cortico vs off cortico. I know this is true because I can't even work out off them I am simply too sick. On them I can damn near run again but easily can lift weights and do many things including eat better n bigger. I take advantage of the performance enhancement to get in shape while I'm on them.

I'm supposed to start Remicade on Friday. They said if I don't want it I don't have to take it but I can offer them another option that may be safer. Any idea on what I should do? I have just been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis on March 22 2024. .I was on Ozempic and quit taking it and starting to slowly feel better since I stopped it on March 11th..anything helps thanks

I bring. Blanket and electric hot pad. I find a longer time for infusion is easier. I’m in Canada we have bathrooms in our clinics. You can ask for a freezy spray We get snacks and juice Benadryl is not for everyone. Only given if you have symptoms of reactions. I can easily drive You are not allowed to be left alone I’ve had my Crohn’s for 42 yrs.

After getting pregnant with my fourth baby my Ulcerative colitis has gotten worse than it's ever been .. I've been informed that I need to do infusions to get back to remission.. it's been about a year and half of being in a flare up , was hoping to get back to normal with my regular medication which is Cortifoam, this works get for me usually because my colitis is at the end of my colitis mostly .. but now I need to consider this new medication, being infused with these immunosuppressant drugs .. I'm very concerned because I have four kids that get sick a lot during fall, winter and spring.. Your information on what to prepare for with infusions is very helpful for my mindset , preparing mentally for whats going to happen , knowing that these are possibilities.. thank u for sharing

How are you now? Still getting remicade? I first diagnosed after pandemics. Nothing has helped, just started remicade. First 2 doses failed helping. Got my 3rd one, now hoping that this time I will start feeling better. I have had enough rough times with this disease and so tired of it. My life got ruined by this uc, soo tired of flare ups steroids diet and all of it. I hope some kind of magic will happen and I will never ever have this crazy thing in my life again.👎🏻
