Hey Austin. I've been suffering with full blown UC for 17 years, I've only had 2 months of remission in all that time and have taken almost every medication under the sun. I'm still fighting and still hopeful. It started not long after a traumatic incident. What a horrid life-stealing condition!!! So great that you've thrown humour into your vids for us when it's hard to always keep positive. Thanks for sharing your journey :)

When I was awaiting my sigmoidoscopy biopsy results, I was 90% sure I had ulcerative colitis. Like you, a CT scan showed that my bowels were inflamed. But also, ulcerative colitis runs in my family (both my parents have it, and also several uncles/aunts and cousins)

Austin, So I just started the EXACT same journey... I'm debating/researching the next step as I tend to attack things the same way you do... so please any comments is greatly appreciative... was a Veggy guy and then started doing 48 hour fasting sessions 1/month thinking I would become younger... Ended up in the same bed as you at the start of your video.... what made you NOT to try the Carnivor or Lion Diet? My read is Only Red Meat for 4-6 weeks and you get a Brand new microbiota Colony downstairs with a BRAND new Undamaged large intestine Mucosa Layer ... sure you don't get a Wide Multiracial colony top and bottom.. but it would seem that variety can be slowly added later once a new Colon Lining is obtained...

Ive had UC for a little over 26 years. It really sucks emotionally at first. But it will seem like nothing after awhile (even thought flares eill probably get worse.) The last time i was in the hospital they asked for a stool sample. In the bathroom i did a reenactment of the shining. I had the doctor the cup and say "im sorry i got stool in your blood sample" as far as coping long term i recommend the following. 1 learn to joke about it. 2 when you get to the stage were they start probing in more and more creative ways its easier to cope if you pretend you've been abducted by aliens. 3 if a doctor asks if you want the good news or bad news there's no good news. 4 you are always at some risk of having an accident at places like work, a job interview or in line at taco bell ect. If that happens try and keep a straight face and dont mention it. Most of the time the other person will be trying to figure out if your embarrassed or dont realize what just happened or how to even bring up the subject since your not acknowledging it.
