    I just ordered this tent today and some J bars for my paddleboard! I’m so glad to hear it hasn’t impacted the mileage or feel of the drive. I also ordered a cot cushion as I’m a fan of comfy sleeping also haha. Question - can the ladder be pulled up for sleeping or does it have to stay down when you’re actually inside the tent?

  • @TrailguidePictures
    @TrailguidePictures3 сағат бұрын

    The ladder needs to stay down, it’s part of the support structure. I hope you enjoy yours.

    In Thailans you can rent a studio apartment for $180 per month, with a swimming pool plus $100 for all your utilites phone , cable interet hydro water etc. I can have 2 meals at a restaurant for $10' Why retire in Canada and be poor, cold and miserable?

    I have a '64 Pearson Commander 26, also a Carl Alberg design. Your description of the Triton's construction and sea kindliness also applies to my experiences with my boat.

    They are great designs. I’m out sailing single handed as a new sailor and the boat is very forgiving, sturdy, yet can be quite quick in the right moment.

    I did watch the whole video. So I was wondering how you could be Canadian and not know that it was Ottawa unless it was just an unfortunate misspeak and brain fart. ☺️

    But that being said Yes Canada is not as good as it used to be. Too expensive and not enough opportunities for young citizens. We are becoming more like the USA without its opportunities. Weather well it would be nice if we had some part that was warm all year. A good country and I hope things turn around.

    Canada has become a high-cost, low service nation under the neo-liberals that make up like...100% of the political class. There are a lot of reasons for this which would take too long to enumerate in detail. But related to my opening point, the economic and political management of the society and economy in Canada, has been a disaster all around. If you are one of those 'new' Canadians one of the things that should standout, beside the shockingly high cost of living, is how the political elites seldom seem to work in the national interest, no matter how one defines it. These elites, follow policies that often are at odds with both what Canadians want and need, and are often clearly driven by either sectarian, or foreign interests. The entire free-world western order also has a similar leadership deficit, not just Canada, but living here, it is impossible to ignore this vast failure of leadership at all levels. I would love to leave here and live in a sane and rational nation or culture. If I had the means, I too would 'vote with my wallet' and likely the only thing I might miss, is Tim Hortons and my favorite restaurants.

    I remember the first time my older buddy, I used to help cut firewood, took me to an actual Husqvarna dealer. I'm pretty sure i never even looked at the saws or any other power tools, because as soon as I noticed their axes & hatchets, I was instantly fixated on them the entire time 😮

    how is it in the rain getting in and out. Some tents seem to have more of overhang and side protection. if you touch the roof getting in and out you're likely to get wet? does water pool ?

    Canada has become a country of mutts. Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese, Jamaicans and a long list of African and Middle Eastern countries have diluted Canada’s Nationalism, and inflated real estate prices for everyone. Globalism was a very bad idea, and has destroyed Canada as we knew it. As more Canadians of European heritage die and leave, Canada will become a province share mainly by China and India.

    Your knowledge is obviously very thorough , but your video technique leaves a lot to be desired. For example, at 0:40 when you’re just starting to explain the first movement, the action moves to the very top of the screen, and some actually takes place off-screen, because you didn’t plan your shot ahead of time. Your viewers can’t see what’s happening. The result is a waste of your time and effort, and of the viewers’ time and attention.

    The problem isn't the border crossing, the problem is the shake downs that the police conduct. I was in Tijuana less than 30 minutes before I got shaken down. I immediately got back in line to re-enter the USA - I will NEVER go back to Mexico until they get the police under control. The cartels are the least of your worries.

    It’s sad to see what is happening to this country. The influx of immigration is too much too fast. I support immigration- we need workers to support an aging and what would otherwise be a declining population. But the sheer numbers of people is too much - too homogenous ironically and is rapidly altering the cultural fabric of urban areas with very different values than what we were founded on.
