Why didn't you mention Wukong, and other Chinese games, as well as Genshin.....ohh, because it will destroy your argument. China can make great and original games too. With supply and demand, there will always be a market for hrdcore games, like doom etc. so stop with the fearmongering. Also, the Military will always fund games like call of duty as a recruiting tool. lol. so fear not to those people who like that stuff.

The "block chain done right" section just repeats the main talking points of most of this projects that vastly underestimates how games are even made. Why would you want a hyper link pointing to a supposed ownership of an item in a game to "keep your stats" if the server and itself runs on a proprietary platform and you can't migrate "your item" anywhere else? All of this things can already be achieved by traditional means and even more so, why do we even want to keep pushing micro transactions as the main business model for games? I'm not opposed to the technology itself but it has proven time and time again that the only point of implementing blockchain related things in games is to pump up some shitty virtual coin, speculation or alright scams.

Hello, I just watched the video and realized there was no mention of the entire sub-genre of Wuxia (literal translation: martial arts and chivalry) games out there, from the classic 仙剑奇侠传 (Sword and Fairy) to the most recent indie title 逸剑风云决 (Wandering Sword). These are just two of the hundreds of games in this sub-genre. The Wuxia thing isn't new, which implies you either knew about it and chose not to report it because it didn't support your argument, or you didn't do enough research or didn't care to. Another innovative game made by Chinese developers is an FPS called Boundary. I believe people can make a better judgment if they get a more holistic picture of the matter. I do not mean to belittle you and your effort into making the video though, but just as with everything in life, it's generally not a good idea to make the assumption that every Chinese studio and every Chinese person has the same agenda. Sure big companies such as tencent might be doing the douchy things, but there are hundreds of indie studios and individuals out there trying to innovate and succeeding. It's dishonest to know about it but "accidentally forgetting to mention" it.

6:01 - No that's the most wrong term you could ever use. If LOCALIZE games is where it's game over and we end with stories alternated and often added topics gamers do not want to deal with. A good company TRANSLATES games and keeps the original setting, while localiztaion alters texts, images and happenings to fit "the local market"

Constant growth is physically impossible. Earth is a closed system. The global economy is a closed system in Earth's closed system. Regional economies are closed systems within the global economy's closed system. And local economies are closed systems within the closed systems of their larger regional economies. There's a finite amount of wealth,a finite amount of customers,a finite amount of time, and a finite amount of manpower. By chasing perpetual growth, you're functionally running facefirst into a sawblade. And FromSoft seems to understand this, when seemingly nobody else does. They've figured out what "enough" looks like to them, and stick to it.
