This is so cool, everything else have to evolve to try to survive it, hence it's being the first ever apex predator

Not sure if I'm going to be able to watch this. The subject is of great interest, but the music is such a distraction; that and the commentary seem designed to make a drama out of interesting prehistory. If your subject knowlege is good, why jazz it up with bing BONG BONG Boopla... music?

The animation here is alright, however the inaccuracies here really bring it down. How the hell did that giant Phorusrachid die to a few undersized Hyaenodons. The "mammals are superior to birds" excuse is extremely outdated and wasn't why the terror birds died out. Also why is the terror bird called Diatryma. First, Diatryma isn't a valid genus. It should actually be called Gastornis. Second, Gastornis didn't live with Hyaenodon. They lived way earlier, close to the beginning of the Cenozoic. They also weren't carnivores. This documentary was made in 2015. These issues should've been solved. Also why is there a Brontotherium in the KPG Extinction segment. This has to be one of the worst instances of time traveling in any documentary.

Everything is connected. I’m sure the development of trees more plant to give off oxygen. And that helped. When we came along it was dryer, trees gave way to open spaces and we were forced out of the trees and had to walk to find food.
