My Star Wars fandom peaked in the mid 90s when I was in 5th-6th grade, right before anyone even knew we were getting new Star Wars movies. I didn’t really like the pre-quels. And I actually liked The Forced Awakens bc it felt a lot more like the original trilogy but with the HUGE caveat it was in the most unoriginal way (another Death Star?!? Haha) But I was willing to overlook the flaws assuming the trilogy found its own identity in the next two. Not only did it find its own identity, the entire last two movies are a full blown identity crisis that make absolutely no sense and that I’ll never watch again. So bad, I actually have a new found appreciation for the trilogy. Star Wars fans are annoying imbeciles. Disney making a shamelessly incoherent bad sequel trilogy, whether trying to appease the fans are not, is 💯 on Disney. You said it yourself, there’s now actually a *pre-quel bias* for christ’s sake. I was around for the prequels. The prequels were appeasing NO FANS at the time of release. Maybe Disney should have focused on putting out coherent storytelling and a good product instead of “appeasing the fans.” Which is exactly what you are now saying. You’re sooooo close. Except for your misunderstanding that you can’t blame fans for how movies were made that the fans DIDNT make. Only schmohawk amateurs go into a project trying to appease “the fans” of a franchise that has like 3 billion fans. This is 💯 Disney’s fault and it’s baffling that you can, I assume with a straight face under there, actually blame some arbitrary nonsensical fan base for these Disney higher-ups complete ineptitude

To be fair Palpatine never truly believed in the rule of two he only used it when it was convenient to rid himself of subordinates He believed in the rule of one, he would be the real and only true sith and he would have unlimited power so their never would be a sith to ever legitimately challenge him It's the same philosophy that plagueis believed and that later darth krayt believed
