AWESOME!!!!!
Ok, I have the same refrigerator. I put it into test mode and it timed out and now when I press any button it beeps 3 times. How do I fix this?....Thanks
what if it has a membrane start button that just freaks out and toggles between start and pause when you press it?
Great instructions. We had water leaking out the front door of our LG refrigerator and water accumulating on the bottom of the inside. I Googled that issue and found your video along with a couple of others. The thorough explanations of each step in resolving this problem were far more helpful than the other videos. I followed your instructions and the problem is resolved. Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching and following my instructions! I'm thrilled I could assist you in resolving the problem.
How do you put the fridge to a force defrost of only the ice maker?
Terrific video, thanks so much for going into details and especially for sharing the charts and diagrams with all the info. Class act!
I'm glad you found the video helpful!
Hi I have a Samsung RF23HTEDBSR/AA with inverter board 06DA9200763B, the board blink 1 at a time so i replaced it and my fridge worked for 4 days and failed back to 1 blink. I replaced my inverter board again and it worked for another 4 days and reverted failed again with one blink. My compressor ohms out ok and it runs after replacing the inverter board each time. The codes on the front display are 40C,61C,65C and 81C no compressor lock alarm. Any ideas why it only works for 4 days after replacing the inverter board?
This is a very helpful video my dude. It fixed my washer. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and I'm really happy I could assist you with fixing your washer!
Will this fix ( tin foil ) work on the start button as well as the power button?
Thank you so much, your video shows exactly what you need to do and save myself $150 on a service call
I'm glad the video helped you save some money!
Thanks for the video. What happens if I don't replace it. Is it the type of thing where it might stop spinning tomorrow, or it might work fine (just noisy) for six months or whatever?
It's always best to replace it sooner rather than later to avoid any potential issues.
You saved me on a maintenance job. I really appreciate it. Thank you
Thank you for your kind words, I'm happy I could assist you!
Thanks for the video. I had a ton of lint near where the flame is and vacuumed it all out, reset the switched, and everything works! Thank you for the video.
Great to hear that the video was helpful for you! Keep up the good work!
This video is absolutely amazing!! Yo were so clear and exact on everything. Thank you so much for this video. I was able to change the igniter without one hiccup! Only one problem, What else could it be if its not the igniter? I tested the old one and it read really low. Bought a new one and it tested good. Replaced it and I still cant get the oven to work. The broiler works. suggestions?
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad the video was helpful. If your oven is still not working properly, you might want to check the gas valve or thermostat next. However, it might be best to call a professional technician to diagnose the issue before you handle safety valves.
Hello, I have a GE model pfcs1njwass refrigerator and it has the exact control board. The refrigerator is not cooling and the compressor is not running at all. I suspect the control board so I tried to troubleshoot following your instructions. But strangely, on my refrigerator , the connector cable (the one you put a jumper in) only has 2 wires (blue and brown). There is 120vac across the blue and brown wires and only 20vac across the brown and compressor pin. Not sure what to do next? Why no black to the compressor? Any ideas? Thx
Great video, thank you! One question...what is the resource on your tablet that lists the resistance ranges for the different parts? When I tested mine, they were a bit off of the ranges you mentioned, so I'm not sure if they are in an acceptable range or not. Any help pointing in the direction of that site/resource would be appreciated!
Thank you. I purchased from Best Buy I hope they can help too?
My LG refrigerator is only 4 years old and I've been told that's it's the defective compressor. How do I contact the company about this?
Inside the fresh food door, there should be a data sticker with the LG 1-800 number.
How do you verify it is the control board? Is there a way to verify before buying the part? Do you know where to get a service manual because LG will not provide them which is a bunch of shit.
Our middle tray is cooling as if its a freezer... its freezing all liquids even though we have selected the temp to refrigerator - beverages.... any clue what maybe prompting this issue... sigh..
Error Code F-9 popped on my LG Range Couple of Days ago when attempted to bake somethin. Neither Oven nor Burners Turn on would Culprit most Likely be Igniter Switch for all these things or are there two?
should I be getting resistance readings on any others? When I test the red and blue together I am getting 19 ohms.
Garage Fridge threw the code, destroyed all the food in the freezer, dangit. Watched your vid, Took the back plate off, and what did I find? Two dead mice, one cut into pieces in the fan blade, wouldn’t spin. Cleaned up that nice surprise, fan works great, no sweat. Thanks for the pointers! My four cats are worthless LOL
Where to get software update? Please
Korean brands such as Samsung & LG have consistently low reliability & durability. I have several friends who complained that their KOREAN appliances gave them a great deal of headaches with breakdowns and expensive repair bills within two to three years of buying a brand new appliance . My own experience is with the cell phone SAMSUNG wherein the battery power started to progressively weaken after the second year of ownership resulting in 2-3 recharges within a day of slight usage !
Thank you for this instructional video, question: I did not see the parts numbers list, could you post it please…. Thank you..
Great video question my motherboard has a diode that looks burnt can an appliance shop repair the diode or can i order it somewhere and replace it myself?
Great video. Thank you. Helped me knock out my fix in short order.
Great to hear!
Thank you for this video I’ve been scratching my head for over an hour, then went to KZread university and found your vid. THANK YOU!
Glad it helped!
coool
Thank you!
What if there is no power to the cold side that's the one that is not working on my machine
If you press the cold water setting and test with a multimeter but do not get any power, it indicates a bad main control, which is unusual. Most of the time, the issue is with the water inlet valve. Did you select cold only and check the power to the valve? If so, and you did not get 120 volts, it would indicate a bad main control. Hope this helps!
Thank you so much it worked for me
You're welcome!
Only thing to push is a small pin, is that right?
Absolutely! Just make sure to unplug it first!
mine shows 0100. 01 d04. Freezer fan feedback missing when fan is running. (not making ice now) I tried testing fans got numbers on all the fans . Any idea what thte problem might be ?
Your video saved me many hundreds of dollars. Being able to see how to test the various components before figuring out which one to replace was huge. My machine is back in business with the replacement of the control board. Thank you!
It warms my heart to hear that the video saved you money and got your machine up and running. Thank you for sharing!
My Samsung has one door and the ice maker is inside the freezer not on the door
How much does a tech charge to replace the fuse?
Do I have to take that all apart just to clean it? I have a check vent light on but I suspect an external issue with the house exhaust as my last dryer had a slow drying issue. Thanks!
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you
You're welcome
Fixed my dryer in 30 minutes thanks to this video. VERY informative!!
Glad it helped!
Didn't have the exact same 'spring' power button but your video got me 99% there and got it working in the end. Thank you for documenting and sharing this!! $300+ saved
You're welcome!
Thanks so much OA Techs! You made it super simple!
You're welcome!
I have the same fridge. My same fan is not running, I also noticed it looks like the fan at the top of the module (behind the air filter) is not running either. Do you think it is as simple as replacing the same fan motor you did? What I mean is is there any chance that if one wasn't running the other would stop? Or do you think it could be a relay or thermistor of some sort?
Just did the repair thanks to this video, you made it super simple and easy to follow. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to know the video was helpful!
Once your machine passes the test with no issues why do I still get the error codes on the machine?
Where can I find the technician manual? Do you have any specific applications?
My Temp/Soil/Spin buttons (GE GTW680BSJ6WS model) sometimes don't work (no matter how hard I press)...is that a motherboard issue and needs to be replaced?
Super helpful. Thank you! What camera and mic setup do you use for videos like this? I like the perspective it provides.
Good video, I am on my 3rd control board now, when I bought the Fridge new 6 years ago the board went out 1 month after warranty I was able to find a rebuilt one on Amazon for $89.00 now I see that they are now around $200! Did not see any rebuilt ones available, very poor design with a short life, both failures were due to the LED'd burning out right now it is totally unreadable. I have to put a thermometer in the fridge and freezer to check temperatures, I am able to set the temperatures to default which I am assuming is 0'F for the freezer and 40'F for the fridge as I am not able to read anything. After watching your video, I now see why I am having ice cubes stick together, I assume the gasket cannot be bought without buying the whole assembly? Also my water filter is now stuck in the filter head which I have already ordered the part for, I really like the fridge but the parts just eat you up, fortunately I am able to do a lot of the work myself. Thanks for your video.
Thank you for your reply! I'm happy to help. However, I would recommend choosing OEM parts over rebuilt or third-party options. While you may save money with the latter, there's a risk that the part may not work correctly.
