I have a decade of experience and I fall into the music producer/song writer category. I want to learn how to do the business of production.
When I learn to really take time and listen to my potential and clients, also given them quality results, they had a hard time to “connect” with other producers that only want to rush up and do not invest time in creating a sincere relationship with them.
Unfortunately that is common. Sometimes it's the simple things that go a LONG way.
This very good but please add chapter references in the scroll due to the fact that you have 10 points.
Good call - just did!
I've been trying a few different libraries over the past few years. I do not have a relationship with any music supervisor(s). I will say this; IF I knew a supervisor/agent, I would probably be light years ahead of where I am. The libraries I use, are competition with every bedroom producer known in the world. I have had a little success(financially speaking, probably enough to pay for all of my set up I've acquired over the years). Not making a living, and not landed a "big deal" as of yet. I will continue this path because I love making music and I know that one day I will "break through". Until then, KEEP CREATING!
Had some of them but unarticulated. I'll update my business plan with these value levers, maybe even make one of those fancy spider digrams :). Great video!!
Ha Awesome! And thanks for watching
Love your content 😊
Im so broke amd behind in life from music that even the clout of signing a bad deal seems appealing
you can make it man, follow your heart and you will get where you're going.

Same here bro
Keep your head up my friend
Lol. That’s what they look for. Don’t do it!
Very nice video! We face the "comunication problem" with our clients every, single, f*****g, day. It's a very big topic, even and expecially in those situation where the producers comes from the "gold era" of the music market. Greetings from Italy!
Glad it helped and thanks for watching!

Its partly true but i just believe that some people find out after a while they have a different gift they can give to others rather than what they originally thought.
100% true - I see this happen all the time
I was gaining some perspective on the internet and the Indian music industry and then I saw this video. Big help dude, I'm on my way to make some beats and sell them for some change on my life.
This is SUCH a helpful insight on how there is much more to making money in music than just the traditional route in the studio in person, great video thank you for making this
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great advice thanks. Just to ensure we are on the same page I think it would help if you defined exactly what a producer does. Supervise and package a song from concept to recording to mixing and mastering I presume? But does he mix and master himself, or does he bill it to the client, and is it assumed that he has his own studio.
Thanks for watching! Yep, oversees the project start to finish. Sometimes a producer could also mix and/or master the songs themselves or they may farm that out.
@@darklabelmusic Got it thanks.

Thanks a ton
Definitely some great advice in there. Thanks a lot! This video serves as a full roadmap for people getting into producing for and with clients. And that's awesome.
Glad it was helpful!
oh damn i thought this channel had at least 50k, 100k subs
That third point is huge 🙌
Champ.
"Burns your brain!"
I'm not a lawyer/accountant so this is a disclaimer, but with a solo401k, you can contribute over $60k a year into it. If you do that for 5 years in your 20s, your retirement account will be near $5MM in retirement at your age range lol (assume 8%). Assume 10% and it's $10MM. Compound interest can be crazy. Some producers I know have really good years and only if they did this, they would be in a better place.
100% - Thanks Niko! Great info
I needed this. Thanks.
