Modern societies has gone through civilization revolution....yet many are still ignorant of the cultures of these indigenous peoples in remote areas of earth. Modern man always think that they are more cultured and smarter , yet they have many uncivilized characteristics...wagging wars and atrocities on weaker societies or people .

Its heartbreaking to see that they got a tv now...we all know where that ends.i pray they reject it and keep on living happy.i bow my head to Dan overcoming his beliefs and found whats true just by being with ppl who arent indoctrinated and living the life we all should live. Since 4 years i use following phrase ":if it cant be questioned its not science its PROPAGANDA." Very dangerous

This was a wonderful documentary film about an extremely loving and brave woman who stood by a man who turned out to be a total ass when he left the family he spoke so highly of,,,,it makes him worse than the step father who turned away from him. I pray for his wife and the children he left behind,,,they are the ones who will suffer a lifetime of pain😢

This reminds me of a movie I recently watched on Netflix called The Glass House. The dad in the movie wasn’t always a healthy figure but there’s a lot of similarities.

I felt bad for Peter when he said, "what did I do I disagreed with him". I too Peter disagree with my mother and I am not ashamed to say that because she was very abusive to us growing up and is still very controlling in my sisters lives. It is not dishonoring to think for yourself unless in your heart you believe that you dishonored him and I dont think that is the case here. I love how Peter and his wife are with their children. Watching them freeride bareback was truly majestic. Such a quite blessed life working through the trials and tribulations that come their way. Staying focused on life what has to be done not outside deterrents but rather on family and all the joys and beauty it has to offer along the way even the sadness it brings. Stay true to yourself Peter this is yours and your wife's family raise them how you see fit. Peter's father you do not have to raise children the way you were raised. It took a lot of courage for Peter to stand up to you as a man before you and you should respect his decision.

I was disappointed the documentary didn’t show an example of the houses built if Totoro. I also understood that some live on floating islands of Totoro which I was eager to sea. Perhaps it no longer occurs, there was no mention of them even. The film seem to stop short without completing!

Though I see the beauty in the freedom of raising a family this way, it is not sustainable. Kids need schooling & you have to make a living. How are they feeding this family? Yes, land ownership is important. Otherwise, you just would have giant homeless encampments or shanty towns. Socialism doesn’t work. Somebody has to pay for all that free food, electricity, health care, schools, etc..

Wow. another example of academia being more of a cancer then a benefit. Noam Chomsky may be world renowned. Noam Chomsky is an arrogant asshole. Noam Chomsky acts to prevent Dans further study and then having authorities come in to bring tvs and teach Portuguese language speaks more to Dan being Right then any back room shit talking meetings Norm could ever muster up. shame on you Noam Chomsky!
