Spot on! Here around the Mayport Jetties in Jax, Fl...when the birds are working the glass minnows, the Spanish are almost always under them. Yes, the size 00 or 0 Clark spoon is the best...I love the green reflection tape the best too. Literally hard to keep one in the water without getting bit, I use a mono leader and rarely lose a lure ..99.9 percent will hook right thru the bottom lip.

How has that 63Ah battery lasted. How long are you able to run your trolling motor since they aren't charging off of the outboard?

I have never ran out of power in a single day. I’ve ran two charters back to back and 8+ hours on the battery without it dying.

Saw Australians doing this but with dead baits, they actually have a “gang” hook mustard makes a 4202, and Gamakatsu makes one call the gangster but they do not sell them US. Really cool to not to use wire, dang the stabbbed fingertips. You’re the first vid I’ve seen of folks doing this in the US.

I used these with the Team Catfish weight slides to make a kzread.infoUgkxdmsDj7fQXe77DC0l7P7ua8B3PiESUubM Carolina rig and they were perfect for the ponds I fish. I have also used them to make 3 way rigs and these work perfectly. Haven't had any issues with them snagging in rocks or in weeds yet.

Only place I've ever seen people fish like this was in Key West, Florida.... lol, those guys were some tough fishermen & their hands told the tale b/c they had fishing line lacerated the palms of their hands so many times? I saw these guys back in the early 80's when I hitched down to the Key's just to go fishing.... Umm, to go fishing for a year or so. That's how I rolled ; no car, no problem - I brought 2 rods & some tackle. The "people" down there taught me the rest ! Love this video, TY for reminding me of the good ole' days. peace

after seeing the 2 Grouper I recall seeing a 370+lb Grouper that a Key West Restaurant had bought. They gutted the fish, packed it w/ ice, and displayed the fish during the late afternoon. I supposed they were advertising the fresh fish special for that night but I'd never seen such a large fish. I saw a lot more in my year of fishing down there. I love this guys, WoW !

So that giant goliath grouper swallowed the hook? It will likely die needlessly and slowly. The hook will get stuck and puncture the guts. The video is cut without showing how you guys dealt with it. I eat fish, but killing fish for no reason is a bit lame. It would have been cool to adress what happened to that grouper.

Yes,,the population numbers of the Jew fish (Goliath grouper) that's what they used to call them back in the 70's- 90s anyway,,, thru ecology and understanding there environment they can thrive again!!
