Tips to Never Buy Sushi Again!

Спорт

Another day offshore beautiful South Florida in the Spring. One of the most exciting fish to catch and bring home is a Tuna. Everyone wants to catch and eat a Tuna they caught with their own hands, it just tastes better! In this video my guest of honor is my good buddy Capt. Eric Lion and we set out on a perfect day to catch a Tuna for dinner. Ill show you the most common way I rig up for simple drift fishing with live bait. Then after all the excitement, back at the dock, I'll show you how a quarter out my Tuna for quick easily processing. This video is pretty much everything you'll need to know minus the cooking or sushi rolling part.
Gear used is: Okuma Makaira 10-SEA and Okuma Tesoro 5s

My friends retired Air Force Colonel dad lives in Fort Lauderdale, all he does is golf. If I was retired in Florida I would be out fishing and eating what I caught!

@@CaptMattBudd You clowns and yr dirty lenses.... On a serious note, though, Matt, do you happen to have any Makaira 20's? Like, in the room with you, or round the corner? And, a ruler handy? If so, I would be real grateful if you could tell me what one measures from the inside of one harness lug, across to the inside of the other lug (or "plug", if the lugs are inverted). Trying to convert a neighbor's Tiagra 50 wides with 50lb mono to Makaira 20's with 80 lb braid, and mono wind-on leaders... cuz the Makairas, though more than two pounds lighter, can actually handle 80 lb line more stoutly than can the big fat Tiagras, which don't have thrust bearings... and, of course, can themselves be handled a lot better. But, he wants reels he can hang in his cabin, so, I'm trying to figure out if there are Lee's or Tigress aluminum rod hangers, like he got for the Tiaras, that will fit right between the lugs of a Mak 20. (He already thinks the big fat reels were a stupid mistake on his part... but, the rods he got with 'em are worth keeping, with the right reels.) Funny (or just functional?) how we use the same reels and same exact knife, and, if your "five bluefish at a time on a Mak 50" video was shot, as it looked like it may have been, near the next inlet up, even the same sloshy sandpatch on a reef to catch bluefish, sometimes! But, anyhow... if you do happen to have a Mak 20 and could make that measurement and pass it on, it'd help an old skate acquaintence out, and, probably wind up helping some Makaira reels catch some Makaira feesh.
