    Mick you were fishing on my doorstep , 2 houses away.Please keep this a secret but there are heaps of fish here. Jewfish , bream , flathead , crabs and big hungry bull sharks. They love the quiet waters and abundant food. Funny thing is my son lives not far from Andrew and they regularly exchange pleasantries and tips. At least you throw them back and that was me you were talking to. Love the basics bread and butter fishing you do .

    Hi mick I’ve got a hobie outback just wanna know what length rod and brand you use on your lynx

  • @mickettingshausen
    @mickettingshausen27 күн бұрын

    I have always used Shimano rods and reels. My favourite rods are Anarchy 1-3kg and 2-4kg sticks. Length 6’10”. I have a shorter Raider rod 1-3kg in 6’6” as well. If you want to be able to cast long casts a few of my fishing mates like sticks over 7 feet. I use the Vanford 2500 reels. If I’m fishing for Jew or Kings I usually ramp up everything. Hope this helps 👍🏼

  • @mickettingshausen

    @mickettingshausenАй бұрын

    Thanks Mark, yes love time spent on the water. Heading off for a trip with my brother on Sunday for a week up north. Had some cracking fishing trips with my brother over the years. I had a tinnie for years and my two kids grew up in it. On that I used to take a potty for the kids. Simple but effective. On the kayak it is a bit different, and can mean paddling to places that have public toilets. Boat ramps and marinas and parks etc. On the kayak it’s a bit easier for guys, eg an empty bottle carried on board, and sometimes you are fishing in a suburban area so you need to be discreet 😂. Thanks for following my channel 👍🏼

  • @mickettingshausen
    @mickettingshausenАй бұрын

    They are a pretty versatile camera. You can capture things not possible on a normal action camera. I use a 2m adjustable stick and sometimes the shorter 120cm stick. PellKing Long 200cm(78inch) Invisible Selfie Stick for Insta360 ONE X3, X2, X, Insta360 ONE R, RS, Insta 360 Camera 1/4" Extended Monopod Pole Clamp: NEEWER Super Clamp with Stainless Steel Dual Ballhead Magic Arm, Cold Shoe, 1/4" 3/8" Threads for Action Camera. Remote : Insta360 X3 GPS Smart Action Remote I Changed the swivel head to this: www.amazon.com.au/Hotshoe-Rotatable-Aluminum-Monopods-Camcorder/dp/B08BYVK52C/ref=sr_1_51? As you want it to be stable when a wave hits the Yak or something like that. If i were you I would get the new X4 as it has more features and has the lens protectors as that is a key point with these cameras. If you scratch the lens its all over and cannot be repaired. I will update at some point but the X3 does the job for now. If you want quality audio you can use the Go Wireless system. It has a special mount and is still invisible. Or the DJI 2 Mic can connect via bluetooth directly to the camera. Most of the time I capture the audio on my gopro and sync up in post. Hope this helps but if you have any questions let me know. Mick

  • @TheFinesseAngler
    @TheFinesseAnglerАй бұрын

    @@mickettingshausen Thanks for the detailed response Mick! Much appreciated mate. I’m thinking of getting the x4 and luckily I already have the DJI mic 2 that I currently run with my action camera. The plan of style I want to film is to have both the kayak and myself in frame to make it seem like someone else is filming me from another vessel so I think the extended selfie stick will work best. I will check out all the attachments you have listed and see what works best for myself. So I’m assuming the bottom of the selfie sticks have a 1/4” attachment point, that way I can possible get attachments to connect it right to my railblaza mounts, if not I’ll just get a clamp mount to attach to the rails on my PA14. Thanks once again mate! Looking forward to getting different angles with it 👌

  • @mickettingshausen
    @mickettingshausenАй бұрын
